About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Freya. I'm a primarily person-centred counsellor, offering a gentle, non-judgemental space to talk things through and make sense of what’s going on for you, in person or online.
My aim is to offer a calm, warm, and welcoming space where you can simply arrive as you are. Our work together is led by you and your experiences. There’s no pressure to have the right words or to talk about anything before you’re ready. I’ll meet you with care, curiosity, and respect, supporting you to explore what’s going on for you at your own pace.
We can work together to gently make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, helping you develop greater understanding, clarity, and compassion for yourself.
Practice description
I offer counselling in-person in Horsham, online, and in the rural village of Shipley. I work with adults and young adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, grief, identity exploration, and life transitions.
Many people come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. You don’t need to have everything worked out before you start. I aim to create a gentle, supportive, and emotionally safe space where you can be yourself and feel heard.
Qualifications:
University of Chichester:
Certificate in Counselling Skills
BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling
CYP Stage 1
Connexus Institute:
TA 101
My first session
Your first session is a chance for us to meet and get a feel for working together. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. We’ll talk about what’s brought you to counselling and what you’re hoping for, at a pace that feels right for you.
I’ll also explain how counselling works, confidentiality, and practical details. If you’d like, I offer a free 15-minute phone call before booking so you can ask questions and see if I feel like a good fit.
