Availability
I currently have availability for new clients and offer flexible daytime and early evening appointments. Sessions are available online and by telephone for adults across the UK, and I also offer face‑to‑face sessions in Southport, Merseyside.
If you’re unsure whether therapy with me feels right, you’re welcome to book a free initial call. This is a gentle space to talk through what you’re looking for, ask any questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.
I will update this section if my availability changes or if I am due to take planned time away from practice.
About me and my therapy practice
You might be arriving here feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in yourself, or simply worn down by carrying too much for too long. Perhaps you’re used to being the strong one, the person others rely on, and you’ve realised you rarely have space to think about your own needs. Therapy can offer a pause, a breath, and a place where you don’t have to hold everything together.
I work in a person‑centred and trauma‑informed way, which means we move gently and at your pace. I won’t diagnose you or tell you what you “should” do. Instead, I’ll listen closely and walk alongside you as you explore what feels difficult, confusing, or heavy. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear story, we can make sense of things together.
Over time, many clients begin to feel more grounded, more connected to themselves, and more able to make choices that genuinely fit who they are. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, low mood, self‑doubt, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or the impact of addiction, therapy can be a place to feel understood and supported.
I offer face‑to‑face sessions in Southport, Merseyside, as well as online and telephone counselling for adults across the UK.
Practice description
My practice offers a calm, steady space where you can bring the parts of your life that feel heavy, tangled, or hard to say out loud. You might be feeling anxious, low, or unsure of yourself. You may have spent a long time putting others first, coping quietly, or trying to manage feelings that don’t seem to shift. Therapy can be a place to slow down and feel less alone with what you’re carrying. Many of the people I work with describe feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. You might be navigating relationship difficulties, self‑doubt, anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, or the impact of addiction, whether your own, or someone else’s. Whatever your experience, you’re welcome to arrive exactly as you are.
My approach is gentle, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I won’t push you to talk about anything before you’re ready. Instead, we’ll explore your experiences at a pace that feels manageable, paying attention to what matters most to you. Over time, therapy can help you feel more settled, more connected to yourself, and more able to move through life with clarity and self‑understanding.
I offer online and telephone counselling across the UK, as well as face‑to‑face sessions in Southport, Merseyside.
My first session
Before beginning therapy, I offer a free initial 20 minute call so we can explore what brings you here and what you’re hoping for. There’s no pressure to commit, it’s simply a chance to get a feel for whether working together feels right.
Your first session is a chance to arrive exactly as you are. You don’t need to prepare anything or know where to begin. Many people come to their first session feeling a mix of relief, uncertainty, or worry about saying things out loud. All of that is welcome.
We’ll take things slowly. I’ll invite you to share whatever feels most present for you, perhaps what’s been feeling heavy, what’s been troubling you, or what’s brought you to this point. You might not have the words yet, and that’s completely okay. We can find them together.
Together we will focus on getting a sense of what life feels like for you right now, what you’re hoping for, and what you might need from therapy. This first session often sets the tone for our work: gentle, collaborative, and grounded in what matters most to you.
By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of whether the space feels right and whether you’d like to continue. There’s no pressure, just an opportunity to see how it feels to be supported, heard, and not alone with what you’re carrying.
