About me and my therapy practice

Why Work With Me?

I’m Tasha The Relatable Counsellor, and the way I work is simple: I want therapy to feel human.

Maybe you’re anxious, stuck in your own head, overthinking everything or your confidence has taken a knock. Perhaps you just don’t feel like yourself anymore and somewhere along the way, you’ve lost your spark.

You don’t need to arrive with all the answers or even know where to start. Come as you are.

I’m a person-centred counsellor, so our sessions are led by you and what you need. I’m not here to tell you how to live your life. I’ll listen, ask questions, gently challenge you when it feels helpful and give you the space to understand what’s really going on underneath it all.

And I’m not the stereotypical counsellor who just sits silently and nods! I’m warm, down-to-earth and real. We can talk about the difficult stuff, but there can also be laughter and those “Ohhh… that makes sense now” moments.

I support adults with anxiety, overthinking, low confidence and self-esteem, depression, addiction, trauma, emotional regulation and neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism.

Children & Young People

I also work with children and young people aged 10+. I know sitting opposite an adult and being asked to talk about your feelings doesn’t work for every young person.

That’s why I use a blend of play and talking therapy, adapting sessions to the individual and helping them express themselves in a way that feels comfortable.

I support young people with anxiety, confidence, low mood, school pressures, friendships, emotional regulation and changes at home, including separation and loss. Where appropriate, I work alongside parents and carers while keeping the young person’s wellbeing and confidentiality at the heart of the work.

Most importantly, there’s no pressure to have the right words or tell me everything straight away.

No judgement. No pretending. Just come as you are, and we’ll take it from there.

Practice description

Hi, I’m Natasha Roe  the person behind Therapy with Tasha, The Relatable Counsellor.

I’m a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and registered member of the BACP (MBACP – 407434), working with adults and children and young people aged 10+.

Therapy with me is a little different. I’m warm, down-to-earth and real, and I believe counselling should feel human. You don’t need to turn up knowing exactly what to say, and you definitely don’t need to have everything figured out.

Maybe anxiety has taken over, you’re constantly overthinking, your confidence isn’t what it used to be or you’ve simply lost your spark. I also support people experiencing depression, addiction, trauma, low self-esteem, emotional difficulties and neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism.

Whatever brings you to therapy, we start with where you are.

And when I say I understand how daunting that first step can feel, I genuinely do.

I’ve sat on the other side of the counselling room myself. I remember the anxiety, the uncertainty and wondering what on earth I was supposed to say. Therapy went on to change my life, and that experience played a huge part in why I became a counsellor.

It’s also why being relatable matters so much to me. I want you to feel like you’re talking to a real person someone who will listen, support you, gently challenge you when needed and give you the space to work things out at your own pace.

With children and young people, I use a blend of play and talking therapy, adapting my approach to the individual young person rather than expecting them to sit and talk in a way that might not feel natural to them.

I offer in-person, online and telephone counselling, giving you different ways to access support depending on what works best for you.

If you’re wondering whether we’d be a good fit, have a look through my FAQs or get in touch for a chat.

No pressure. No need to have the right words. Just come as you are.
