About me and my therapy practice

I am a registered Counselling Psychologist and Gestalt Psychotherapist, I offer a relational and integrative approach to psychological wellbeing. My practice is grounded in the belief that we are shaped by our relationships, and that true healing occurs through authentic connection and collaboration.

I provide trauma-informed and person-centred care, working collaboratively to foster a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental environment. By integrating a range of therapeutic techniques tailored to your unique needs, I support you in navigating complex life challenges and cultivating a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

I am particularly passionate about helping individuals and families reconnect with their inner voice and establish healthy boundaries.

My work spans a broad developmental range. I work with children from the age of 8, adolescents, adults and older adults, addressing the diverse challenges that arise across the lifespan. These may include:

  • Stress & Burnout: Navigating work- or school-related pressure, and complex/unhealthy relationships dynamics.
  • Life Transitions: Support through significant changes such as migration, career shifts, new parenthood, or divorce.
  • Emotional Regulation: Addressing anxiety, low mood, and the feeling of being "stuck" or overwhelmed.
  • Relational & Intergenerational Trauma: Processing adverse experiences and the lasting effects of complex or unhealthy relationship dynamics.

Change that is meaningful and lasting happens when we have a reflective space to explore our experiences and develop healthier coping strategies. Whether you are looking to process a recent or historic trauma, need support through a difficult transition, or are simply curious to understand how a therapeutic process works, I welcome you to begin this collaborative healing journey toward improving your long-term wellbeing.

Practice description

Therapy is a collaborative process led by you. Whether you arrive with specific goals or simply a sense that "something isn't right," we will work at a pace that feels right for you. My practice does not follow a one-size-fits-all model, instead I draw from a range of psychological theories and evidence-based practices to tailor my approach to your unique history and needs.

Our work together will support you to build healthier relationships with yourself and others, leading to a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. Together, we focus on:

  • Self-Awareness: Understanding your inner self, including past experiences, and patterns of thoughts and behaviours.
  • Building Healthy Relationships: Improving your connections with yourself and the world.
  • Resilience: Developing healthier coping mechanisms that will support you navigating life’s complexities.

What to expect: I provide a supportive, trauma-informed, reflective space for individuals navigating specific life challenges, processing past experiences, or seeking increased awareness of themselves.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed or simply in need of a dedicated space for reflection, I will support you as you move towards your authentic self.

My practice is inclusive, and all are welcome.

My first session

Initial contact: Choosing the right therapist is an important decision, and I welcome you to reach out via email with any questions you may have. Before we begin, we will agree on a date and time for your ongoing appointments and discuss session fees to ensure clarity from the outset. Once you feel ready to proceed, we will schedule your first session.

Before the first session: I will send you important information, and a few brief forms for you to complete before our first meeting to cover practical requirements and ensure your safety remains a priority.

The assessment phase: Our initial session(s) will be a collaborative assessment. During this time, we will explore your background, current challenges, and set goals for therapy. While this phase ensures I have a comprehensive and holistic understanding of your needs, it is also designed to give you an idea of how the therapeutic process will be. During these initial sessions, there is no commitment at this stage as it is essential that you feel comfortable with our connection.

Ongoing sessions: Following the assessment period, if we decide that I am the right professional to support you, we will formally agree on the therapeutic contract and the framework for our ongoing sessions.
