About me and my therapy practice
I came to counselling after many years of personal and professional growth, grounded in the belief that we each hold an innate capacity for self-awareness, healing, and change.
My practice is shaped by decades of experience in the business world, a lifelong journey of self-discovery, and the transformative power of personal therapy. I bring this rich life experience into my work, creating a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and respected.
I offer both person-centred counselling and EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based approach that supports clients in processing trauma, anxiety, low self-worth, and emotional overwhelm—working gently with the brain’s natural healing systems.
Whether you’re looking for a space to explore your thoughts and emotions or are curious about how EMDR could support your healing, I’m here to walk alongside you.
I offer sessions in-person in King’s Lynn and online, with a free 20-minute video consultation to help us explore how we might work together.
Practice description
My practice is based at the South Lynn Community Centre in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. There is ample free parking and a discreet side entrance for your comfort and ease.
I offer both person-centred counselling and EMDR therapy in a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
Person-centred counselling is a non-directive form of talk therapy that trusts in your ability to uncover your own insights and solutions, with the right support. It’s grounded in empathy, acceptance, and a belief in your capacity for growth and self-awareness.
I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that supports people in processing trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. EMDR works with the brain’s natural systems to help release stuck or painful memories and create space for healing.
Life brings challenges—but you don’t have to face them alone. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to better understand yourself, I’m here to support you on your journey toward clarity, healing, and change.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute introductory session via phone or video call. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide whether therapy with me feels like the right fit for you—no pressure or obligation.
If you decide to continue, I will send you a brief assessment form before your first full session. This helps me gain a basic understanding of your background and what’s bringing you to therapy, so we can use our time more effectively.
In your first full session, we’ll talk more about what you'd like to explore in therapy and how we can work together in a way that feels safe and supportive for you. You’re welcome to move at your own pace—there’s no expectation to go into deep detail right away unless you feel ready.
Whether you’re considering person-centred counselling or EMDR therapy, I’ll explain what to expect and answer any questions you might have. For EMDR, we’ll also explore whether it’s an appropriate and helpful approach for your needs, and take time to build trust and stability before moving into any reprocessing work.
This initial session is all about creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the next step on your journey—whatever that may look like for you.
