About me and my therapy practice
My journey into counselling grew from a deep interest in understanding people, relationships, and the processes that help us heal, grow, and move forward. At the heart of my work is the belief that each of us has an innate capacity for self-awareness, resilience, and positive change.
My approach is rooted in person-centred counselling, creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. I believe that when people feel truly heard, understood, and accepted, meaningful change can begin to take place.
Alongside person-centred counselling, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy. EMDR is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that can help people process trauma, distressing experiences, anxiety, low self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. When appropriate, EMDR can be integrated into our work together, complementing the person-centred approach and supporting deeper healing and recovery.
Whether you are looking for a space to talk, seeking support through a difficult period, or exploring whether EMDR may be right for you, I aim to provide a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic relationship where you can move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
I offer counselling and EMDR therapy both in person from my practice in King's Lynn, Norfolk, and online.
Practice description
My practice is based at Fairstead Community Centre, Centre Point, King's Lynn, Norfolk, where I provide a welcoming, confidential space for counselling and EMDR therapy. There is convenient parking available, and every effort is made to ensure you feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you arrive.
I offer both person-centred counselling and EMDR therapy within a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgemental environment. My aim is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and accepted, allowing you to explore whatever is important to you at your own pace.
Person-centred counselling forms the foundation of my work. It is based on the belief that, given the right conditions, people have the capacity to better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and move towards positive change. Through empathy, acceptance, and genuine understanding, counselling can provide the space to gain clarity, build self-awareness, and develop greater confidence in navigating life's difficulties.
Alongside counselling, I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a highly effective, evidence-based therapy that can help with trauma, anxiety, distressing life experiences, low self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. When appropriate, EMDR can be integrated into our work together, helping you process experiences that may feel unresolved or continue to affect your daily life.
Life can sometimes feel challenging, overwhelming, or uncertain, but you do not have to face those challenges alone. Whether you are seeking support through a difficult period, working through past experiences, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I am here to support you with warmth, understanding, and respect.
My first session
Before attending your first session I will send you a brief assessment form. This helps me gain a basic understanding of your background and what’s bringing you to therapy, so we can use our time more effectively.
In this session, we’ll talk about what you'd like to explore in therapy and how we can work together in a way that feels safe and supportive for you. You’re welcome to move at your own pace-there’s no expectation to go into deep detail right away unless you feel ready.
Whether you’re considering person-centred counselling or EMDR therapy, I’ll explain what to expect and answer any questions you might have. For EMDR, we’ll also explore whether it’s an appropriate and helpful approach for your needs, and take time to build trust and stability before moving into any reprocessing work.
This initial session is all about creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the next step on your journey-whatever that may look like for you.

About me and my therapy practice
I came to counselling after many years of personal and professional growth, grounded in the belief that we each hold an innate capacity for self-awareness, healing, and change.
My practice is shaped by decades of experience in the business world, a lifelong journey of self-discovery, and the transformative power of personal therapy. I bring this rich life experience into my work, creating a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and respected.
I offer both person-centred counselling and EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based approach that supports clients in processing trauma, anxiety, low self-worth, and emotional overwhelm—working gently with the brain’s natural healing systems.
Whether you’re looking for a space to explore your thoughts and emotions or are curious about how EMDR could support your healing, I’m here to walk alongside you.
I offer sessions in-person in King’s Lynn and online, with a free initial 50-minute video or in-person consultation to help us explore how we might work together.
Practice description
My practice is based at the South Lynn Community Centre in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. There is ample free parking and a discreet side entrance for your comfort and ease.
I offer both person-centred counselling and EMDR therapy in a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
Person-centred counselling is a non-directive form of talk therapy that trusts in your ability to uncover your own insights and solutions, with the right support. It’s grounded in empathy, acceptance, and a belief in your capacity for growth and self-awareness.
I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that supports people in processing trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, and emotional overwhelm. EMDR works with the brain’s natural systems to help release stuck or painful memories and create space for healing.
Life brings challenges—but you don’t have to face them alone. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to better understand yourself, I’m here to support you on your journey toward clarity, healing, and change.
My first session
I offer a free 50-minute introductory session via video call or in-person at my office in King's Lynn. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide whether therapy with me feels like the right fit for you - with no pressure or obligation.
If you decide to continue, I will send you a brief assessment form before your first full session. This helps me gain a basic understanding of your background and what’s bringing you to therapy, so we can use our time more effectively.
In your first full session, we’ll talk more about what you'd like to explore in therapy and how we can work together in a way that feels safe and supportive for you. You’re welcome to move at your own pace - there’s no expectation to go into deep detail right away unless you feel ready.
This initial session is all about creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the next step on your journey - whatever that may look like for you.
