About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Talia, a counsellor offering a down-to-earth, neuro-affirming space to talk things through. I offer therapy from a quiet space in Walmer, Kent, as well as online sessions across the UK.
What might sessions with me feel like?
The direction for therapy is always led by you, but I often find that the bigger picture is usually about gaining clarity. Clarity about where you are in life, what your experiences have been, and how you want to move forward.
I often think about therapy as a bit like sorting through a messy box together, full of life experiences, beliefs and patterns that have built up over time. Therapy can be a space to look at them piece by piece, and start making sense of them more clearly.
During sessions, I like to ask questions and offer reflections. Overall, it’s really important to me that therapy feels collaborative and like something we’re doing together.
Why people might come to therapy?
You might be:
• Feeling flat, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself, without really knowing why.
• Noticing that life has gradually become more stressful or exhausting, and it’s starting to catch up with you.
• Struggling with relationships, friendships or boundaries, and finding yourself stuck in patterns that keep repeating.
• Trying to make sense of loss, change or a life transition, and what that means for you moving forward.
• Questioning parts of your identity or trying to reconnect with yourself after becoming a parent, changes in health, burnout, or other big life shifts.
• Exploring whether you may be autistic or ADHD, or making sense of a diagnosis and how that fits into your life and experiences.
• Carrying things from the past that still seem to affect how you feel about yourself, other people, or the world around you.
Whatever the reason for therapy, or even if you’re not quite sure where to start, feel free to reach out to see whether working together might feel like the right support for you.
