About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Val
A very warm welcome to you. I am an approachable counsellor based near Coventry and Rugby (Wolston, CV8), and I offer in-person, video, phone, email, and walk & talk therapy.
I support neurodivergent clients, autistic and ADHD individuals, and those navigating anxiety, identity, self-esteem or life transitions. My clients come to me feeling overwhelmed and misunderstood, or sometimes seeking a space where they can simply "be themselves" without judgment.
Practice description
It takes courage to reach out for support and admit to yourself that you are struggling. It goes against the need to cope and crack on with the societal expectations we are shown within our relationships and the media. We all need a helping hand from time and I would really like to be your helping hand. I cannot promise to fix things for you; however, I can listen and give you a warm, therapeutic, non-judgmental space where you can hear yourself, and this is surprisingly powerful.
Clients seek me for support with a range of issues:-
Addiction.
Anxiety, panic or stress
Depression and low mood
Disordered eating and feelings around this.
Estrangement and bereavement / loss.
Family-related Issues and all types of Relationships.
Illness and disabilities, new or long-term, including carers.
Neurodivergence - Autism, ADHD etc. Self-identifying and diagnosis.
Self-harm struggles.
Stressful life events and transitions.
Trauma and how it feels for you.
My first session
You are welcome to book an initial session just to see how you feel, or we can have a short initial chat. Therapy is all about you. I'm wondering how this sounds to you....
Thank you for taking the time to read my words, and if you feel you would like to contact me, I would love to hear from you and be your helping hand.
