About me and my therapy practice
***ONLINE ONLY***
Welcome. If you’re reading this then I imagine something in your life feels too hard to face alone. Maybe it’s a difficult relationship? A stressful work life? Some painful family dynamics? Or perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed by past events and patterns that seem to keep repeating themselves?
Whatever you’re struggling with, therapy is a place to be fully heard, understood, and supported; where your inner world can be expressed without fear or shame. A safe space where you can make sense of what you feel including the emotions you have learned to suppress and the things you are carrying alone.
Navigating your way through a difficult time on your own can feel daunting, but I can help you overcome your challenges with kindness and at a pace that feels comfortable for you. With empathy and a grounded presence, together we can explore what has happened, sift through the residual thoughts & feelings and then find a way forward that works for you. I work from a place of acceptance and compassionate understanding to help you restore balance and build a happier life experience through increased inner awareness and self-empowerment.
I know that finding the right therapist can be difficult so please have a look at my website to get a feel for whether we might be a good match:
www.jackiegoldingtherapy.com
As a qualified therapist I regularly attend professional development training and have had many years of personal counselling, which means that I fully understand how it feels to be a client in therapy. I come from a corporate background so I can relate well to the stresses that come with working life.
I help clients with a broad range of issues offering 50-minute sessions on a weekly basis. I can offer short-term or longer, open-ended therapy.
I work from London Bridge, Tonbridge and online.
Practice description
I have a particular interest in helping with relationship issues whether they are troubled, broken or abusive. This includes the way we relate to ‘self’ and how we can transform our life experiences by creating a different relationship with our own inner world.
Having worked with a diverse range of people with different problems I can also help with…
Childhood trauma
PTSD
Disordered eating
Anxiety
Depression
Low self-esteem & shame
Codependency
Sexual abuse
ADHD
Addiction & compulsive behaviour
Menstrual/menopause problems
Personal growth
Spirituality
Work-related stress
Primarily I work in the here and now, looking at your thoughts and feelings as well as retrospectively to consider where patterns may have originated, such as in childhood and family dynamics.
Every client is an individual with a unique history and I have found that a flexible approach serves and honours our needs best. Having trained in various modalities I can draw on a range of skills to offer the most beneficial support.
Paramount to all of this is that you are fully accepted as you are with kindness, understanding and empathy.
Therapy is a gift we give to ourselves, an honouring of the inner voice that seeks clarity, resolution & freedom. You are never alone in that search, so please reach out and we can discuss further.

My first session
After you reach out to me, we will arrange a convenient time to have an initial chat. This is free of charge and can be either on the phone or a video call – whichever you prefer.
I will ask about your reasons for seeking therapy and what you are looking for from me. If for some reason I am unable to help then I will do my best to suggest an alternative therapist/organisation.
Our first session is an opportunity for us both to ask questions and look at your hopes and goals for our work. It’s a chance for us to get a feel for whether we would be a good match. If we decide to proceed, we would normally have a further 6 sessions and then review how our work is going.
I believe in the client-therapist relationship as the primary container for change and as with any relationship, this takes a little time and trust to build.
Beginning therapy is the first step towards the change you are seeking. Let’s start now... I look forward to working with you.
