Availability
I offer flexible daytime and evening online appointments throughout the week, with some weekend availability. This means that therapy can fit around your work, family and everyday life. I aim to make therapy both manageable and supportive for you, and not an added pressure on your time.
If you’d like to book an initial consultation, just reach out. From there, we can find times that work best for you if you decide to move forward with therapy.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Andy, a qualified counsellor who is registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the founder of Pendulum Therapy.
Like a pendulum, life swings between emotional highs and lows, moments of calm and intensity, or moves quickly or slowly. Therapy provides a chance to pause, reflect, and understand these shifts, helping you recognise patterns and reconnect with your centre. Much like the pendulum finding its balance, therapy can help restore steadiness, clarity, and a sense of calm amid the constant motion of life.
Seeking support takes courage, and therapy can help you to make meaningful changes in your life. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can be heard and understood without any fear of judgement. Sessions move at your pace focusing on what matters most to you, with guidance as needed to help you explore your thoughts and experiences. My own experiences led me to counselling, and I understand how powerful it can be to have someone to talk to who truly listens.
I work with people of all ages, from adolescents facing the challenges of growing up, to older adults navigating different life stages. I'm here to help each person reconnect with themselves and build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
Practice description
Counselling should feel like a partnership. As your therapist, my role is to offer a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Rather than giving you answers, I’ll help you find your own understanding and way forward.
I work online using Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom, and I’m equally happy to speak by phone if that feels more comfortable for you. Many people value the ease and privacy of online sessions, as it allows them to talk openly from a space where they feel safe and relaxed.
My first session
I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting. Finding the right therapist is important, as trust and safety matter when talking about personal difficulties.
This is why I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute phone or video consultation. It’s a chance to share what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain. You’ll also get a feel for how I work and whether we feel like a good fit.
If you decide to begin regular 50-minute weekly sessions, I’ll send you a therapy agreement outlining what we can both expect from our work together.
