Availability

I offer online, telephone, and in-person sessions in Croydon (CR0) on weekdays. Sessions can be scheduled weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels supportive for you.

I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call to help you get a sense of whether we might be a good fit.

I occasionally take planned time off for holidays, training, or personal development, and I update my calendar regularly to keep clients informed. If your preferred time isn’t immediately available, I encourage you to reach out as waiting lists can be short and appointments often open up.

My aim is to be flexible and transparent while maintaining a sustainable practice. If you have any questions about session times, formats, or scheduling, you’re very welcome to contact me, and I’ll do my best to find a time that works for you.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Valli (she/her), I’m a therapist and counsellor supporting adults who don’t fit the usual mould.

I work with people navigating anxiety, neurodivergence, identity and cultural questions, and complex relationships, including queer, non-monogamous, and kink-positive connections.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and person-centred. You can arrive as you are, without needing to shrink, justify, or educate yourself to be understood. Therapy with me is collaborative, gentle, and honest, helping you build clarity, self-trust, and practical ways to move forward. Many of the people I support are people of colour, neurodivergent, or exploring alternative ways of living and loving.

Practice description

I offer a warm, steady, relational space for adults who don’t fit the usual mould. I work with people navigating anxiety, burnout, low self-worth, neurodivergence, identity questions, cultural pressures, and complex relationships, including queer, non-monogamous, and kink-positive connections. You don’t have to educate me, minimise yourself, or shrink to be understood.

My work is person-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally aware. Therapy is collaborative and gentle, allowing you to explore patterns, relationships, and identity at a pace that feels possible. I pay close attention to emotional and bodily steadiness so exploration is safe without being overwhelming.

I’m not the right therapist for everyone. If you are looking for advice, quick fixes, or a structured model that doesn’t fit your pace, this may not be the space for you. I work best with people ready to explore their experiences collaboratively and relationally.

Sessions are £60 for 50 minutes. I offer online, telephone, and in-person sessions in Croydon (CR0), with weekly or fortnightly frequency. A free 15-minute introductory call is available so you can ask questions and get a feel for whether we’re the right fit, with no pressure or obligation.

I hold a Diploma in Person-Centred Therapeutic Counselling, and through my ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD), I am able to incorporate various other modalities to best support your needs.

To ensure my professional competence, I regularly participate in personal therapy, receive supervision, and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as required.

I also worked for Mind UK where I provide counselling for adults on a short term basis.

My first session

Your first session with me is an opportunity to get a sense of what it’s like to work together and to share what’s bringing you to therapy. I focus on creating a calm, relational, and supportive space where you can speak openly about your experiences, challenges, and hopes at a pace that feels possible for you.

I will ask questions to understand what matters most to you, what you would like to explore, and how you hope therapy might help. We can talk about your background, identity, relationships, and any patterns or concerns that feel most pressing. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you are comfortable with.

I will explain how I work, including my person-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally aware approach, and we can discuss practical aspects such as session frequency, online or in-person options, and boundaries. You can also ask questions about my experience, style, or any part of the therapeutic process that matters to you.

The first session is also a chance to reflect on fit — therapy is most effective when you feel heard, respected, and able to work collaboratively with your therapist. If it feels like we might not be the right fit, I can offer guidance on other resources or ways forward. Many clients find the first session useful even if they decide not to continue, as it provides clarity and insight into what they are looking for in therapy.
