About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Valli (she/her) — a therapist for people who don’t fit the usual mould.
I’m a trauma-informed, person-centred and relational therapist offering a warm, grounding space for people who have never quite fitted into the boxes they were given. Many of the people I support are people of colour, neurodivergent, queer, and/or exploring non-monogamy, kink, or alternative ways of living and loving. This is a space where your whole self is welcome, and you don’t need to educate me or translate yourself.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and culturally aware. I understand what it feels like to navigate the world carrying layers of identity, expectation, or difference — and to long for a space where you don’t have to explain yourself from scratch. Therapy with me is collaborative, gentle, and honest. We go at your pace.
Practice description
Who I Work With
I regularly work with adults facing:
• Anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout
• Neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, AuDHD, highly sensitive people)
• Identity and cultural pressures
• Relationship challenges, including non-monogamy and alternative relationships
• Low self-esteem, self-doubt, and perfectionism
• Feeling unseen, unheard, or misunderstood
• Difficulty expressing needs or setting boundaries
• Life transitions and emotional overwhelm
I welcome clients of all genders, backgrounds, and relationship structures.
How I Work
My approach is person-centred and relational, trauma-informed, and intersectional. Sessions are guided by your priorities, moving at your pace. You can expect:
• Grounded guidance that helps you make sense of your internal world
• Exploration of patterns, identity, and relationship dynamics
• Neurodivergence-affirming support
• Cultural and LGBTQ+ awareness
• Practical tools to move forward while building steadiness in life
I help clients make sense of what’s happening inside and build steadiness in life, relationships, and self-understanding.

Why People Choose Me
Clients often choose me because they:
• Want a POC therapist who understands cultural nuance
• Need neurodivergence-affirming support
• Seek a therapist who is queer, kink, and non-monogamy aware
• Value clarity, insight, and a calm, steady approach
• Have struggled to feel fully seen elsewhere
If you’re looking for therapy that addresses your complexity without glossing over it, this is the right place.
I hold a Diploma in Person-Centred Therapeutic Counselling, and through my ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD), I am able to incorporate various other modalities to best support your needs.
To ensure my professional competence, I regularly participate in personal therapy, receive supervision, and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as required.
I also worked for Mind UK where I provide counselling for adults on a short term basis.
