About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Beth, I am a BACP-registered person-centred counsellor offering online therapy to adults across the UK.

I work with individuals who may be experiencing life transitions, uncertainty, or feeling overwhelmed, including those navigating changes such as relocation, relationship difficulties, or career challenges. These experiences can often be accompanied by anxiety, low self-esteem, or a sense of disconnection.

My approach is grounded in person-centred principles, offering a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. I aim to facilitate greater self-awareness and understanding, supporting clients in making sense of their experiences and moving forward in a way that feels meaningful to them.

Originally from North Wales, I also offer counselling in Welsh for clients who wish to express themselves in their first language.

I have lived and worked abroad, which has given me an appreciation of the emotional impact of change, transition, and identity. I understand the importance of having a consistent and supportive therapeutic space during times of uncertainty.

Practice description

I offer online, one-to-one counselling sessions for adults (18 - 64) across the UK via Zoom.

My practice provides a calm, supportive, and confidential space where you can speak openly and explore what’s going on for you without judgment or pressure. I work in a person-centred way, which means our sessions are led by you and your individual needs, allowing you the time and space to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

I often work with clients who are experiencing life transitions or periods of uncertainty, where they may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves. Together, we can begin to make sense of these experiences, helping you to develop greater self-awareness and clarity.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are typically held weekly at a consistent time where possible. I offer both daytime and limited evening availability during the week.

Before beginning, I offer a free 15-minute introductory Zoom call. This allows you to ask any questions and to see whether you feel comfortable working with me. There is no obligation to continue after this.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin to explore what has brought you to counselling.

We will start by going through the counselling agreement together. This outlines important aspects of our work, including confidentiality, session structure, boundaries, and how we will work together. This is your opportunity to ask any questions and ensure you feel comfortable before we begin.

From there, we will gently begin to explore what you would like support with. There is no expectation to share everything straight away—you are free to go at your own pace and bring whatever feels most important to you.

The first session is also a space for you to get a sense of how I work and whether you feel comfortable continuing. Building a sense of safety and trust is an important part of the process, and this can take time.

I aim to provide a calm, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and able to begin making sense of your thoughts and feelings.
