About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m a humanistic integrative counsellor offering a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel heard without judgement.
You might be coming to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how things have reached this point. Whatever brings you here, I will meet you where you are and work at your pace to help you explore what’s going on, make sense of your feelings, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
How I work:
My approach is humanistic and integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches to suit you as an individual.
At the heart of my work is building a trusting relationship where you feel safe, understood, and supported. I’m known for being calm, kind, and gently insightful, and I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to be yourself, even when things feel difficult or hard to put into words.
I will listen carefully, reflect with you, and help you explore patterns, thoughts, and emotions. At times, I may gently offer observations or new perspectives, always in a way that feels supportive and grounded.
Qualifications:
CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
Practice description
My practice offers a calm, confidential space where you can take time out of your day-to-day life to focus on yourself.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to managing things on your own. I aim to make that process feel as comfortable as possible, from our first contact through to our sessions together.
In our work, there is no pressure to have the “right words” or to know exactly what to say. You are welcome to bring whatever feels important, at your own pace. Some sessions may feel reflective, while others focus on understanding what’s happening for you in the present.
I offer a consistent, supportive space where you can make sense of your thoughts and emotions, explore patterns, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online. I offer appointments on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturdays, to support those balancing work, family, or other commitments.
My aim is to provide a steady, reliable space where you feel supported as you navigate whatever you’re going through.
I support people who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or going through difficult periods in their lives.
This can include:
Life transitions and change
Stress, burnout, and overwhelm
Anxiety and low mood
Bereavement and loss
Relationship challenges and dynamics
Self-esteem, identity, and body image
I have a particular interest in supporting people through life transitions where roles and identity may be shifting, including pregnancy, postnatal adjustment, becoming a parent, and parental or work-related burnout.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. I will meet you where you are, and together we can begin to understand what you’re going through and gently work towards clarity and a way forward.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet, talk about what has brought you to therapy, and begin to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so there is no pressure to share everything straight away. We will go at your pace, and you are welcome to bring whatever feels comfortable for you to talk about.
During this session, I may ask some gentle questions to understand your current situation, what you’re hoping for from therapy, and any relevant background information. This also gives you the chance to ask any questions you may have about how I work.
The first session is charged at the same rate as ongoing sessions. There is no obligation to continue, what matters most is that you feel comfortable and supported in the process.
My standard session fee is £45.00 per 50-minute session.
I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for counselling trainees. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss availability.
