About me and my therapy practice
If you're here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. Perhaps your mind rarely switches off, you're constantly putting other people first, or you've reached a point where you no longer feel quite like yourself.
You may be struggling with anxiety or overthinking, questioning your confidence or self-worth, or finding it difficult to know what you need when you're so used to thinking about everyone else.
I also have a particular interest in supporting people through pregnancy, postnatal life and the transition to parenthood. This can include anxiety during pregnancy, difficult feelings around birth, adjusting to life with a baby, changes in relationships or identity, or simply finding parenthood different from what you expected. I also volunteer with PANDAS Foundation UK, supporting people affected by perinatal mental health difficulties.
I'm a humanistic integrative counsellor offering online and telephone counselling for adults across the UK and, where appropriate, internationally. I provide a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever feels important to you.
We can explore what's happening in your life now, experiences from the past, your relationships, patterns you've noticed or the way you see yourself. There's no pressure to arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about or to find the "right" words.
At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. I work at your pace, adapting our sessions to you and giving you space to make sense of what's happening and explore what might help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Practice description
Therapy offers a space to step back from the demands of everyday life and spend some time focusing on yourself, something that isn't always easy to prioritise.
I aim to make the process feel steady and approachable, whether you're new to therapy or returning to it. You don't need to have the "right words" or a clear starting point.
As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I adapt how I work to suit you as an individual. Some sessions may be more reflective, helping you explore patterns, experiences or relationships that continue to affect you, while others may focus on what feels most important in the present.
I often work with anxiety and overthinking, low self-worth, people pleasing and feeling unsure of who you are or what you need. These things can sometimes leave you exhausted from thinking, putting others first or trying to keep everything together.
I also have a particular interest in pregnancy, postnatal life and parenthood. This might include anxiety during pregnancy, difficult feelings around birth, adjusting after having a baby, changes in relationships or identity, or finding the transition to parenthood harder or simply different from what you expected.
I also support people experiencing life changes, burnout, relationship difficulties, grief and loss. Whatever brings you to counselling, we can explore what feels important to you rather than trying to fit your experience into a particular label.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship we build together. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we can explore your experiences, develop a deeper understanding of what's going on for you, and consider what might help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online or by telephone.
My first session
Before beginning counselling, we can discuss whether online or telephone counselling feels appropriate for you and your circumstances.
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, talk about what has brought you to counselling and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. There is no expectation to tell me everything straight away or to know exactly where to begin.
We can take things at a pace that feels comfortable, and there will be space to ask any questions you have about counselling or how I work. We will also talk through practical things such as confidentiality and how our sessions will work.
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online or by telephone. My fee is £45 per session, including the first session, with no obligation to continue afterwards.
Before booking a full session, you're also welcome to arrange a free 15-minute introductory call if you would like to briefly talk about what you're looking for and see whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
