About me and my therapy practice
Sam Otero: BSc(Hons), MRes, PhD Psychology. BACP and CPCAB Accredited Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
You may have heard that "change starts with you," but where do you begin? I have the skills and experience to listen carefully and notice what matters most. I trust that you have the resources within you and can help draw out hidden treasure. There is no pain too deep or problem too big that we cannot look at together. I provide a caring, nurturing space for you to be fully yourself, even if you don't know what that looks like, yet.
My background is in psychological research with a focus on memory and neuropsychology. I bring this into my work with considerations of how the past influences the present, and how our brains are uniquely and individually wired. I use person-centred counselling with skills in re-connecting body and mind to discover the wisdom of your whole being.
COUPLE'S THERAPY (£120) - Couple's therapy, including for business partners and other relational dynamics, considers choice, connection, communication and boundaries, as well as attachment theory and personality.
Practice description
I work online via Zoom or similar, I also work in person at offices in the Brighton and Hove area (free parking, bus route 1X). I use person-centred philosophy to tailor your counselling to you. That includes the length and duration of sessions, location, content and style.
