About me and my therapy practice
If you’re exhausted by shallow self-help, fake positivity, and constant pressure to become a more productive version of yourself, you’re not alone.
Another podcast. Another morning routine. Another person online pretending they’ve mastered life while quietly falling apart behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, you may still feel anxious, disconnected, stuck, lonely, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself underneath it all.
I’m not especially interested in pretending life is simple, or in reducing people to diagnoses, labels, or problems to fix. I’m interested in helping people become more present, aware, authentic, and engaged with their lives. Not because life should look perfect, but because we experience it more fully when more of us is actually here for it.
I offer therapy for people who want something more honest.
A space where you don’t have to perform wellness. Where anger, grief, confusion, shame, uncertainty, contradiction, humour, and all the difficult parts of being human are welcome too.
My approach is relational, direct, and grounded in real conversation. I’m influenced by existential, Gestalt, and Jungian psychotherapy, but sessions with me are not about jargon or analysing you from a distance. Therapy is a shared process. Something we work through together.
Sometimes therapy involves insight. Sometimes challenge. Sometimes finally saying something out loud that you’ve never been able to say before.
Practice description
I offer counselling and psychotherapy online across the UK and in person near Taunton, Somerset, Bristol and Exeter.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, identity struggles, grief, loneliness, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and the feeling that they’ve somehow lost touch with themselves.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable people who have spent years functioning, coping, performing, or looking after everyone else while quietly struggling underneath.
Therapy with me is not about trying to turn you into a perfect, endlessly positive version of yourself. It is about helping you understand yourself more deeply, recognise patterns that keep you stuck, and begin relating to yourself and others in a more honest and alive way.
Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space that feels genuine, grounded, and human rather than overly clinical or scripted.
Alongside individual work, I also co-facilitate therapy groups and have a particular interest in authenticity, meaning, embodiment, relationships, and men’s emotional wellbeing.
I work online with clients in Bristol, Exeter, London, and across the UK, as well as offering in-person sessions near Taunton.
