About me and my therapy practice

Hi, my name is Abi, and I am a qualified Person Centred counsellor, registered with the BACP. I am also an Accredited Member of the NCPS. For me, counselling is a space where the client is given the opportunity to open up whilst feeling heard and held. I believe in creating a relationship between client and counsellor where you feel you can share your experiences and explore your feelings in a confidential and non-judgemental environment. I work with clients online & also from counselling rooms as an Associate Counsellor at A Little Room of Therapy.

I understand that beginning this journey can feel like a big decision and so I can offer a free 15-minute video call so you can let me know what is going on for you and ask me any questions, giving you the opportunity to decide if you would like to work together. I offer open-ended counselling, allowing time for us to build a therapeutic relationship.

I am a compassionate, kind and empathic counsellor who has experience of working with both adults and young people (11+) and of working with different concerns including anxiety, bereavement, relationship issues and self-esteem issues, always taking time to establish a rapport with clients enabling them to feel comfortable sharing their story.

If you think this sounds like something you are interested to explore, please get in touch using the email address consanocounselling@gmail.com & we can set up a short telephone call or video call so we can meet.

Practice description

My practice is both in person from EN8 9NH & AL9 and online.

You can expect a prompt response to your enquiry & should you decide to begin sessions with me, you can expect kindness & curiosity and a genuine desire to support you during this time while you explore what your feeling.

I offer both short term and long term sessions (open ended) & after your first session, you will be asked to commit to a minimum of 6 sessions (this will be in your contract when you sign) After this, we can discuss how you would like to continue with the sessions (if you would like to) & will manage the ending of the sessions accordingly, working within the BACP Ethical Framework.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity to meet, to find out what is going on for you & for you to ask any questions you may have.

We will also complete a short assessment together during this session.

It will be a time & space for us to talk and find out what you are looking for & if you feel you would like me to be on that journey with you.
