About me and my therapy practice
Taking the step to work with a therapist can be an enriching experience with rewarding benefits. We all endure struggles, suffering or loss and at times we are able to manage life's adversities but sometimes feelings can become too overwhelming and we can get a bit stuck. Talking to a therapist, someone who is impartial with no previous involvement in our lives, can help to make sense of the discomfort, pain or distress we are facing. This can be a valuable decision as it can lead us to feel less debilitated and ultimately empower us to move our life in a different direction.
Practice description
I am a Psychodynamic counsellor which involves looking at past experiences and how they affect current thought patterns and behaviours. Problematic childhood experiences can cause maladaptive thought patterns causing difficulty in relating to the self or others. I like to work alongside clients in a supportive and confidential environment where I aim to help bring clarity and piece together unconscious processes with unhelpful, negative patterns. Together we can look at tools and strategies for how best to initiate change to live in a more productive and fulfilling way.
