About me and my therapy practice

My approach is integrative, transpersonal and relational. At the heart of my work, I aim to create a warm, welcoming space where you can bring yourself as you are.

I am particularly aware of the different experiences we can bring into the therapy room — whether that is around culture, identity, race, sexuality, gender, neurodiversity or our experiences of family and belonging. It can sometimes feel daunting to know what is okay to bring into therapy and what isn't. I want to offer a space where we can explore this together. There may be times when you don't feel able to bring all of yourself, and that is okay too. There is no right or wrong way to be in the room.

I work with the body, mind and soul. At times, we can become disconnected from our bodies or lose touch with how we are feeling physically. I may gently invite the body into the conversation: *How is your body feeling after saying that?* Our bodies can carry and communicate more than we sometimes realise.

The idea of soul can mean something different to everyone, so I don't have a fixed definition of what it should mean. For me, it is the part of us that can get trampled on by the *shoulds*, the *coulds* and the *“I wish I'd done that”*. It is a place of authenticity, imperfection and rough edges — and perhaps a connection to a familiar, older voice within us that somehow feels true.

This part of ourselves can emerge through dreams, drawings, images and visualisations. When it feels relevant to what you have brought into therapy, I may invite you to explore these together. Sometimes talking is enough. Sometimes we need to drop down into the body, or move towards the soul, or perhaps work with both.

Although I have these tools and a creative way of working, my approach remains client-led. I won't insist that we work on something simply because I think it needs to be explored. I will follow what you need in the moment, and together we can find a way of working that feels right for you.

Practice description

My counselling training is accredited by BACP, and I have completed the UKCP-accredited Advanced Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy at Re-Vision.

My psychotherapy training has shaped my approach to working with the whole person — body, mind and soul. I draw on integrative, relational and transpersonal approaches, adapting the way I work to what feels most appropriate for each person rather than following one fixed method.

Alongside my core training, I have undertaken CPD in Ancestry Exploration and Connections and Working with Adopted Adult Clients. These areas have further developed my interest in the ways our histories, families, cultures and experiences of belonging can shape our sense of identity and who we become.

I have experience working with people who are queer or trans, neurodivergent, and those who have experienced childhood trauma and sexual assault.
