About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP-registered integrative therapist offering a warm, relational space where you can explore emotional difficulties safely and at your own pace. I work with adults and young people aged 16+, supporting a range of experiences including anxiety, emotional overwhelm, trauma, bereavement, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
My work is grounded in trauma-informed and attachment-aware principles. I draw on person-centred and other humanistic approaches, alongside CBT, psychodynamic, and compassion-focused approaches, tailoring the therapy to your individual needs. I am also ADHD-informed and, with both professional knowledge and lived experience, adapt my approach to support different ways of thinking, feeling, and relating.
I incorporate mindfulness and body-based awareness, recognising the connection between mind and body. This may include grounding techniques to support emotional regulation, particularly when working with overwhelm, unresolved trauma, and anxiety. I work with sensitivity to each client’s cultural background, beliefs, and values.
I have particular experience supporting clients through bereavement and loss, including my work within a bereavement service. I also support those who have had unhelpful or difficult experiences in previous therapy, offering a safe space to rebuild trust.
My approach is relational and compassion-focused, with a strong belief that healing takes place within a safe therapeutic relationship. I aim to offer a reparative and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, even when they feel overwhelming. Where helpful, I support you in making connections between past and present experiences, as well as exploring meaning, identity, your place in the world, and navigating life’s uncertainties.
Through this process, you may begin to develop a more authentic and compassionate relationship with yourself and move towards your potential.
Practice description
I offer a calm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your individual needs, allowing us to work in a way that feels safe, supportive, and manageable for you.
Sessions are available online, face-to-face in Brentwood, Essex, or through walking therapy in nature, giving you the flexibility to choose the setting that feels most comfortable. Sessions are typically 50 minutes and usually take place on a weekly basis, with flexibility where needed.
I work in a relational, trauma-informed, and compassion-focused way, paying attention to both emotional and bodily experiences. Together, we may explore patterns, relationships, and past experiences, while also developing ways to support emotional regulation and self-understanding in the present.
I aim to offer a steady and supportive therapeutic relationship, where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. Therapy is a process that unfolds over time, and I will work alongside you at your pace, supporting you to develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and a more authentic relationship with yourself.
I offer sessions in both English and Russian and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds.
My first session
In our first session, we will explore what has brought you to therapy and what feels most important for you. We may gently begin to look at your current experiences, relevant background, and any hopes or expectations you may have, including what you would like to feel different.
I will explain how I work, including confidentiality, boundaries, and our working agreement, so you feel clear and supported from the start. There is no formal assessment, and you are welcome to go at your own pace.
This is also an opportunity for you to experience how it feels to talk with me and to consider whether working together feels right for you.
