About me and my therapy practice
There are many reasons why it might be the right time for you to come to therapy. Whether it’s a specific concern or a want to understand yourself better, therapy can be useful for exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Whatever your reasoning, making the decision to seek out a therapist shows great strength and bravery.
As a Humanistic & Integrative psychotherapist, my aim is to understand your inner world and tailor our work together to ensure it meets your needs. I work from a holistic model where all parts of you, such as your relationships, experiences, mind and body are considered as they shape who you are today.
I see each person as unique, believing that there is no such thing as a good or bad person. By drawing on relational theoretical approaches, skills and concepts, my hope is our work together helps you to improve your autonomy and self-belief.
I work with a range of emotional and relational difficulties, with a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy, affairs and trauma.
Practice description
I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for us to work in. By creating a safe environment, we can begin to process and unpack your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that suits you. When words alone may not suffice, creative elements may be introduced to help enhance your understanding of your experiences. I will provide warmth and empathy throughout our work together to support you in creating a life that you want to live.
Within my work, I integrate theoretical concepts such as human developmental theories and neuroscience into my practice to support further understanding of relational patterns and promote self-regulation.
I have worked as a therapist for several charities, including Nottinghamshire Mind and Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid, where I have supported clients with a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, attachment difficulties, bereavement, depression, dissociation, domestic violence, infertility, low self-confidence and self-worth, self-harm, sexual abuse, stress, suicidal ideation, and trauma.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute phone call for us to briefly discuss your needs and to answer any questions that you may have regarding therapy and what you’re looking for. After this initial phone call, an assessment process will begin to help decipher whether I am the right therapist for you and if I have the right skillset to support you.
To protect your privacy and comply with GDPR, I’m only able to return calls if a voicemail is left confirming your name and contact details.
