About me and my therapy practice

I am a humanistic and integrative counsellor offering a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard. I work collaboratively and respectfully, with care and curiosity for each person’s unique experiences.

I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to support individual needs. At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship, and I place great importance on building a safe, trusting connection where we can explore whatever feels most important for you, at your own pace.

Together, we may explore experiences such as anxiety, ongoing stress, patterns that feel difficult or stuck, and how past experiences continue to shape the present. I aim to support greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, and choice, while offering gentle challenge when it feels helpful.

I welcome people from all backgrounds and life experiences, and I work with sensitivity to issues of identity, culture, and difference. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, a specific concern, or a more general sense of feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure, I aim to offer a compassionate and thoughtful space where change, clarity, or acceptance can begin to develop

Practice description

I offer individual therapy sessions in a calm, confidential setting. Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly at an agreed time. I offer both short-term and open-ended work, depending on what feels most helpful.

I work in a humanistic and integrative way, adapting sessions to your needs rather than following a fixed structure. Therapy may involve talking through current difficulties such as anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, or feeling stuck, as well as exploring patterns, emotions, and experiences over time.

You do not need to have clear goals or know what to talk about at the start. Sessions provide space to think, reflect, and make sense of what is happening for you, at a pace that feels manageable.

My practice is grounded in ethical, inclusive, and reflective work, supported by regular supervision and ongoing professional development.

My first session

The first session is a relaxed chance to meet and talk about what has brought you to therapy. It usually lasts 50 minutes. As we talk, I may take brief notes to help me work safely and attentively with you.

The session takes place in a confidential and non-judgemental space, and you only share what feels comfortable. We’ll also go through my contract and discuss any questions or concerns you may have, so you feel clear about how therapy works.

The initial session is simply an opportunity to be heard, explore your experiences, and get a sense of how we might work together.
