About me and my therapy practice
Warm, integrative counselling for anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, burnout, and neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism). I offer a safe, supportive space to explore what’s going on and find ways forward.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to make sense of a difficult period in your life. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to face it alone. Reaching out can be the first step toward meaningful change, and I aim to offer a supportive space where you can explore at a pace that feels right for you.
As an integrative counsellor, I work with individuals and couples, tailoring therapy to your unique needs. I draw on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), helping you understand patterns in thoughts, feelings and relationships, develop coping strategies, and gain clarity.
I work in a neurodivergent-affirming way, welcoming clients who are autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent, as well as those exploring whether this forms part of their identity. I aim to provide a space where differences in thinking, communication and sensory experience are respected.
Where helpful, I may also use creative approaches, including imagery, natural objects, doodling, Playdoh or nesting dolls, to support reflection when words are hard to find.
I support a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, identity exploration, and life transitions such as separation, menopause, redundancy, or changes in family roles.
Practice description
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. People come to counselling for many reasons, including anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, low mood, or simply a sense of feeling stuck. Whatever brings you to therapy, you will be met with warmth, curiosity and respect.
Together we will explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Counselling can help you gain new perspectives, understand patterns in your life and relationships, and develop ways of coping or creating positive change.
My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard, supported and able to be yourself. I also work in a neurodivergent-affirming way, welcoming clients who are autistic, ADHD, or exploring neurodivergence, and aim to create a space where differences in thinking, communication and sensory experience are understood and respected.
Counselling can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue such as anxiety, stress or a life decision, or longer-term to explore deeper patterns, past experiences or ongoing challenges. We will regularly review our work together so that therapy continues to meet your needs.
When you get in touch, we will arrange a free initial telephone call. This gives you the opportunity to share a little about what is bringing you to counselling and what support you are looking for. I will also explain how I work, answer any questions, and help you decide whether working together feels like the right fit. There is no obligation to book afterwards.
Sessions are available online or in person in Marlborough, Wiltshire and Newbury, Berkshire.
My first session
In our first session, we’ll talk about your experiences and any goals you’d like to work on. Together, we’ll agree on how we’ll work going forward, taking the time you need to begin exploring your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. There’s no pressure to cover everything in the first session—this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
I work in a neurodivergent-affirming way, welcoming clients who are autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent. I also offer reasonable adjustments to support accessibility and comfort, such as flexible session length, alternative communication methods, or sensory considerations. My aim is to create a space where differences in thinking, communication, and sensory experience are respected and understood.
We’ll also have regular reviews to reflect on how counselling is going. This helps ensure sessions continue to feel helpful and allows us to adjust the approach if needed.
Please feel free to get in touch to share a little about what you’re looking for support with. I’ll respond as soon as possible and we can arrange your first session.
For Couples Counselling:
If you’re seeking support as a couple, we start with a free, no-obligation online meeting with both of you. This is a chance to talk about what has brought you to couples counselling, what you hope to achieve, and how I can support you together. Couples sessions are held in person in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
