About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative therapist offering a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgement. I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and my aim is to create a therapeutic environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. This integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy to each individual, recognising that everyone’s experiences and needs are unique.
I work with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and life transitions. My focus is on helping clients develop insight, strengthen resilience, and move towards meaningful and lasting change.
Practice description
Clients can expect a warm, respectful, and non-judgemental therapeutic environment where they feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I aim to build a trusting therapeutic relationship, working collaboratively with each client at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
My approach is compassionate, supportive, and tailored to the individual. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to help clients develop greater self-understanding, practical coping strategies, and the confidence to make positive changes in their lives.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, any relevant background, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process.
As part of this session, there will be a short assessment to help identify the areas you would like support with. We may also explore what strategies or support you may have tried previously and whether these were helpful. This helps to build a clearer understanding of your needs and allows us to consider the most appropriate approach moving forward.
I will also explain how I work, discuss confidentiality, and answer any questions you may have about therapy, ensuring you feel comfortable and informed about the process.
