About me and my therapy practice

If you're feeling overwhelmed by questions - about who you are, how you relate to the world, or what you want next - you are not alone, and you don't have to navigate this by yourself.

I offer a warm, affirming space where uncertainty isn't something to "fix", but an opportunity to explore. Whether you're wanting to unpack the layers of your identity, going through a major life change, or simply feeling stuck, anxious and lonely, we'll work together to make sense of everything - at your pace, and in a way which truly works for you.

How can I help you?

Searching for the right therapist can be a daunting process - there is so much choice! On top of that, I know asking for help can feel challenging, but it is a powerful action towards more clarity, peace, and fulfilment. I believe our past experiences shape our present. Together, we will create a safe space for you to explore and untangle the threads of your life story, uncovering the hidden patterns that are influencing you today.

I'll be your trusted guide in a collaborative and human-to-human process, supporting you to overcome challenges, explore your true identity and find purpose and meaning, and embrace the changes you've been wanting to make.

I work integratively with psychodynamic and existential foundations - this means we will:

  • Look to the past and how this has shaped you into the person you are today, how you relate to others, and how you view yourself.
  • Explore what is happening for you today, paying attention to your unique journey in life, unconscious patterns, attachment styles, defence mechanisms and more.
  • Strengthen your inner therapist tools, giving you more confidence to work through life's challenges independently.
  • We'll work to your individuality, trying different creative or mindfulness activities to see what works for you.

Practice description

My values

My practice is built on the belief that healing begins with being seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. I believe we all have the capacity for growth, healthy change, and to love our wonderful authentic selves.

I'm committed to providing a welcoming space for all, respecting and affirming all identities and characteristics, such as gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, health, disability, neurodiversity and age. It is important to me that I continually strive to promote an inclusive environment, stay curious and open, and continue to take the steps to educate myself.

Meetings

I offer online sessions in the comfort of your chosen therapeutic space, using Google Meets.

My first session

Getting started

You will probably have lots of questions, and want to figure out if I would be a good fit for what you are looking for right now.

We would first meet for an initial 50-minute session to talk through your needs and goals together and explore what it would look like to start working together. This will give us a good amount of time to connect - there are no commitments at this stage, and I know how important it is to find the best therapist for you.

If you would like to start working together, we would then meet at the same time and day each week for 50 minutes. We'll regularly check in with how you're finding the sessions and whether there is anything you feel we've missed that you'd like to be working on, to make sure you're getting the most from the work.

Investment

Initial sessions: £45

Weekly sessions thereafter: £60

If you have any questions about the cost of sessions, we can chat about this in our initial session - I occasionally have reduced-fee slots available for people on lower incomes.

Number of sessions

This is completely up to you! I generally work on a long-term and open-ended basis, but you might prefer to work short-term or start with a set number of sessions and go from there. If that's the case, I would usually recommend starting with 6 sessions to allow the therapeutic relationship some time to develop.
