About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Anna Critsinelis, a qualified and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am an integrative therapist with a strong commitment to seeking the best available evidence to support your unique needs and help you thrive.
My professional experience includes working in secondary schools, neurodiverse clinics, mental health clinics, and organizations such as Together Women. This diverse background has given me a deep understanding of mental health challenges and disorders, allowing me to work with a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to identity exploration, neurodivergence, and emotional literacy.
I believe that everyone is unique, deserving of a fulfilling life, and has the potential to make the changes they want. My aim is to help you explore what’s important to you, support you in overcoming the challenges you face, and empower you to move forward in a way that aligns with your values and aspirations.
I work with adults and adolescents aged 12 and over, creating a compassionate and respectful space tailored to your specific needs, age, and life circumstances. Through our work together, I strive to foster greater self-awareness, confidence, and clarity, enabling you to make meaningful changes and lead a life that feels true to who you are.
My extensive professional experience spans secondary schools, specialized neurodiversity clinics, and mental health organizations, where I have supported individuals facing a broad spectrum of challenges, including anxiety, emotional regulation, identity development, and complex mental health disorders. This diverse background has equipped me with a profound understanding of the psychological, emotional, and social factors that influence well-being across different stages of life.
Practice description
In my practice, I offer face-to-face therapy at The Tower Clinic in Leeds, where you can experience a comfortable and private setting. I also understand the importance of flexibility and offer video, telephone, or live text message sessions to ensure therapy can fit your lifestyle and needs, no matter where you are.
I work collaboratively with you to understand the core issues you're facing. By exploring how you see yourself, your relationships with others, your values, and beliefs, we can create a deeper understanding of the patterns that are impacting your life. This insight allows me to select the most appropriate evidence-based techniques tailored to your situation, to ensure the care and support I offer are the most effective.
Whether you need help with emotional regulation, navigating identity issues, managing anxiety or stress, mental health disorders, or working through relationship difficulties, I’ll work with you to provide a clear path forward. I believe in a collaborative, goal-focused approach that empowers you to better understand your inner world and make informed choices that help you move towards lasting change.
No matter how you prefer to work or where you're located, I'm committed to delivering the highest standard of care and ensuring that we can work together in the most convenient and comfortable way for you.
My first session
The first session is an important initial assessment where we’ll take the time to get to know each other. It’s your opportunity to share what’s going on in your life, what challenges you're facing, and what you're hoping to achieve through therapy. I’ll gather information to help us understand the core of what you're struggling with, so we can develop a tailored treatment plan that works for you.
During this session, there’s no pressure—you can go at your own pace. Together, we’ll explore your history, emotions, and goals, which will guide us in crafting a clear path forward. The aim is to identify your strengths and areas where you'd like to see change, ensuring we create a plan that feels right for you.
I understand starting therapy can feel daunting, so to make it easier, I offer a 30-minute introductory session for £30. This session can be held live or by phone, giving you flexibility to choose what works best for you. It’s a great opportunity to get a feel for how we can work together and see if my approach aligns with your needs.
If you have any concerns or are unsure about something, don’t hesitate to ask—this session is all about making you feel heard, comfortable, and supported. Let’s take this first step toward positive change—together.

About me and my therapy practice
I am Anna Critsinelis, a Clinical Psychologist in Brazil and a counsellor and psychotherapist in the UK, working with children, young people, and adults at Tower Clinic. I completed further training as a Clinical Supervisor, and I offer Person-Centred and CBT supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists in training and practice.
My clinical experience includes working within schools, neurodiversity services, and mental health settings, supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, abuse, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship and attachment issues, neurodivergence (including ADHD, autism, and related presentations), identity-related concerns, and complex family dynamics.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on CBT, DBT, and person-centred therapy. I focus on understanding patterns of thinking, emotion, and behaviour, helping clients develop practical and meaningful change through a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
In supervision, I aim to provide a reflective, supportive, and ethically grounded space where supervisees can explore their clinical work, professional development, and relational processes with confidence and curiosity. Drawing on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, I support practitioners in developing greater self-awareness, clinical insight, ethical practice, and reflective capacity, while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and safeguarding client welfare.
Practice description
In supervision, I aim to create a supportive and reflective space where supervisees feel able to think openly about their client work, challenges, emotional responses, and professional development. I draw on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision to explore not only the client’s process, but also the therapeutic relationship, the supervisee’s internal experience, and the wider dynamics that may be impacting the work.
I see supervision as a collaborative process that supports growth, curiosity, and ethical practice. I aim to help supervisees feel more confident in their clinical thinking, develop greater self-awareness, and feel supported in navigating the emotional and relational complexities of therapeutic work.
I encourage reflective practice, authenticity, and a deeper understanding of both the client and the therapist within the therapeutic relationship, while maintaining safe and ethical practice.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation for new supervisees. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to explore whether we are a good fit to work together and to discuss what you are looking for from supervision.
We can talk about your current clinical work, professional development goals, areas where you may need support, and any questions you have about my approach to supervision.
We will also discuss practical arrangements, including frequency of sessions, ways of working, and expectations within the supervisory relationship.
