Availability

I currently have availability for new clients and welcome enquiries for both online and telephone counselling.

Appointments are available during daytime and evening hours, with some flexibility depending on your circumstances and availability.

I aim to respond to all enquiries as promptly as possible, usually within 48 hours. If you contact me outside of my working hours, I will get back to you as soon as I can.

If I have any planned periods of leave or reduced availability, this will be discussed with existing clients in advance.

If you're unsure whether counselling is right for you, I welcome an initial conversation to explore how we might work together and whether I am the right fit for your needs.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe that even during life's most difficult periods, people often have more strength and resilience than they realise. Sometimes we simply need the space and support to pause, reflect, and better understand what we are experiencing.

I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and periods of change or uncertainty. Some people come to counselling with a clear issue they would like to address, while others have a sense that something isn't quite right but find it difficult to put into words. Whatever brings you to therapy, I aim to provide a supportive space where you can explore your experiences openly and honestly.

Alongside private practice, I have experience working within charitable and voluntary sector services, supporting adults with a variety of emotional and psychological difficulties. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every person's story is unique and deserves to be heard with compassion, understanding, and respect.

I have a particular interest in men's mental health, grief and loss, personal development, identity, and helping people navigate significant life changes. I also work with clients exploring confidence, self-worth, relationships, and the impact that past experiences can have on their present lives.

My aim is to offer an inclusive and welcoming environment where you feel heard, valued, and accepted. Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but you do not have to face life's challenges alone. Whatever has brought you here, I would be pleased to walk alongside you as you explore the next stage of your journey.

Practice description

I offer online and telephone counselling for adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feel that something is not quite right, I aim to provide a supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgement.

My practice is centred around building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and genuine understanding. I recognise that seeking counselling can feel like a significant step, and I work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There is no expectation to arrive with all the answers, and no pressure to discuss anything before you are ready.

Some clients come to therapy looking for support through a difficult period in their lives, while others wish to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, or patterns that may be holding them back. Whatever brings you to counselling, our sessions will provide space to reflect, gain insight, and explore what meaningful change might look like for you.

I strive to offer an inclusive and affirming environment where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. My aim is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you as you develop greater self-awareness, recognise your strengths, and find a way forward that feels authentic to you.

My first session

I offer a free initial consultation to give us an opportunity to meet and discuss what has brought you to counselling. This is a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about therapy, my approach, or the counselling process, while also helping us decide whether we feel we are a good fit to work together.

During this consultation, I will ask some questions about your current circumstances, what support you are looking for, and what you hope to gain from counselling. Where appropriate, I may also invite you to complete a short questionnaire to help us gain a clearer understanding of your current wellbeing and establish a starting point for our work together.

There is no obligation to continue following the consultation. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process, and I encourage clients to take the time they need to decide whether working together feels right for them.

If you choose to continue after the consultation, you will have access to my online booking system, allowing you to arrange appointments based on my current availability. This offers flexibility for clients who prefer to book sessions around work, family, or other commitments.
