About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure whether counselling is right for you?
Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if you’re not sure what to expect or whether counselling will help. You don’t need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. This is a space where you can bring whatever feels difficult right now, and we can begin to make sense of it together.
- You might be considering counselling if you are:
- Feeling overwhelmed or anxious
- Struggling with low mood or loss of motivation
- Overthinking or finding it hard to switch off
- Going through a difficult life change
- Feeling stuck, uncertain, or emotionally drained
- Wanting a space to talk without judgement
Whatever brings you here, it’s okay to start where you are.
I’m a qualified BACP registered counsellor offering a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly and be heard without judgement.
People often come to counselling when things feel heavy, confusing, or difficult to manage alone. My aim is to offer a space where you don’t have to filter your thoughts or have the “right words” , we can explore things together at a pace that feels right for you.
I work in a way that is gentle, respectful, and grounded in your needs. There’s no expectation to rush or to have answers , we work at your pace.
If you’re thinking about getting in touch, you don’t need to commit to anything straight away.
When you contact me, I’ll respond personally. We can arrange an initial call and you can see how it feels for you.
There’s no pressure or obligation to continue unless it feels helpful.
If you’d like to get in touch, call, text or email, I aim to respond within 24–48 hours.
Practice description
It’s good to talk. I provide a safe and confidential space where you can explore your feelings, emotions, and behaviours, and consider areas of acceptance or change. My aim is to support you as you navigate the challenges you’re facing, at your own pace and in your own way.
I am a trained Person-Centred Counsellor and Level 5 Child Trauma qualified, fully insured, DBS checked, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in line with their ethical framework.
I have experience supporting individuals who have survived domestic abuse, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, as well as those experiencing suicidal thoughts or tendencies, with a particular interest in men’s mental health.
Recently, my work has also focused on young adults and teenagers, many of whom are diagnosed with, awaiting a diagnosis of, or show signs of ADHD or neurodiversity.
In addition, I specialise in supporting women navigating perimenopause and post-menopause, offering a compassionate and understanding space to express and process their experiences.
Above all, I provide a confidential, non-judgemental environment where you can feel safe to explore your concerns and begin the process of healing, growth, and self-discovery.
My first session
During the first session, we will go through the client contract to ensure clarity around confidentiality, boundaries, and the counselling process. This session is also an opportunity to explore whether the therapeutic relationship is a good fit for both of us.
We will discuss what you are hoping to gain from therapy, your goals, and any concerns or expectations you may have. This helps us work collaboratively to create a supportive and personalised plan for your sessions.
