About me and my therapy practice
I offer online and in person therapy for individuals and couples, providing both short and long-term support depending on your needs. My approach is warm, collaborative, and relational, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through connection, curiosity, and increased self-understanding.
I aim to create a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships openly. Therapy with me is active and collaborative, you set the pace, and together we explore the patterns and experiences that may be shaping how you think, feel, and relate. My role is to support you in developing clarity, confidence, and lasting change.
I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, loss, identity concerns, relationship difficulties, family issues, and work related stress.
I have a particular interest in relationship-focused therapy across all areas of life - romantic partnerships, family relationships, friendships, workplace dynamics, and the relationship you hold with yourself. I frequently support clients to explore and shift recurring relational cycles that impact wellbeing.
Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, I spent 22 years in corporate leadership, coaching and colleague engagement, supporting people through pressure and change. My experience of raising children and teenagers has also given me a grounded understanding of the challenges that family life can bring. These combined experiences offer a rich foundation for understanding stress, resilience, and the emotional demands of modern life.
I’m committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and welcome clients of all backgrounds, genders, and sexualities. I continue to develop my practice through ongoing specialist training, including work with couples.
Alongside my BACP registration, I am a certified clinical psychotherapist of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), membership number: 2011195388.
Practice description
My integrative approach allows me to tailor sessions to your unique needs, combining exploration, reflection, and practical tools to support meaningful and lasting change.
At the heart of my practice is a relational and humanistic foundation. I believe the therapeutic relationship - built on safety, trust, honesty, and genuine connection - is central to effective therapy. Together, we create a space where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences and feel supported as you make sense of what you’re going through.
Using psychodynamic perspectives, I help clients understand how past relationships and experiences may shape current patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating. While these insights are valuable, my work remains rooted in the here and now, supporting you to recognise how old patterns may be influencing the present moment.
My existential lens provides room to explore meaning, identity, choice, and direction during times of uncertainty, transition, or emotional distress. This can be especially helpful if you're feeling stuck or questioning the path you’re on.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques where helpful, offering practical tools for coping, emotional regulation, and behaviour change alongside deeper exploratory work.
I provide a warm, structured, and supportive therapeutic environment where you can feel heard and understood without judgment. My focus is on increasing self-awareness, strengthening relationships, and building emotional resilience. Whether you're navigating a specific issue or seeking longer-term personal growth, we work collaboratively to understand what’s holding you back and to move toward greater clarity, balance, and fulfilment.
I value transparency, trust, and open communication, and I believe therapy is most effective when it feels like a genuine partnership. My aim is to support you in a safe, reflective, and empowering way—helping you create meaningful and lasting change.
My first session
The first session(s) is an opportunity for us to meet and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your background, your goals, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll also share more about my approach, experience, and what you can expect from therapy.
This session includes time to review the therapy agreement, which I’ll share in advance so you can read and reflect. You’re welcome to ask any questions about the process, boundaries, or practical arrangements.
I aim for this first meeting to feel safe, respectful, and collaborative - a space to see whether working together feels like the right fit. It’s about building trust, openness, and a foundation for meaningful exploration and change.
