About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Emma!
As an online trauma-focused therapist, I understand that healing isn't about "getting over" difficult experiences but learning to live alongside them with greater ease and self-compassion. I work with adults who have experienced childhood trauma, complex PTSD, and relational wounds that may echo in present relationships and self-perception. My approach recognises that trauma lives in both body and mind, and that true healing happens when we feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted exactly as we are.
I hold a Master's in Integrative Counselling with distinction from Leeds Beckett University, a PG Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a BSc Hons (First) in Counselling Psychology. I am BACP-registered and continuously grow my understanding of complex trauma through weekly training with the Carolyn Spring Trauma Recovery Community and maintain comprehensive supervision including biweekly clinical and psychodynamic group supervision, plus monthly trauma-focused case consultation. My experience spans diverse settings: supporting mental health journeys at Mind, helping survivors regain safety at Leeds Domestic Violence Service, and working with neurodivergent individuals at Psychiatry-UK.
Together, we'll create a safe therapeutic space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, reconnect with your resilience, and discover new ways of being in relationship with yourself and others. I believe that within every person lies an incredible capacity for growth and healing, even after the most challenging circumstances.

Practice description
Therapies Offered
Being an Integrative Counsellor, I offer a range of therapeutic approaches, each designed to support personal growth, emotional wellbeing, and resilience through various evidence-based methods and compassionate techniques.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Person-Centred Therapy
- Transactional Analysis (TA)
- Mindfulness
Integrative Counselling is a flexible therapeutic approach that combines techniques from the above counselling theories to suit the unique needs of each individual.
Rather than adhering to a single method, integrative counselling draws from the above approaches allowing me to create a personalised experience.
This approach respects the complexity of each person’s life, focusing on the whole self—mind, body, and emotions—to address issues holistically.
Integrative counselling is effective for a wide range of mental health concerns, offering a compassionate, adaptable path to self-discovery, emotional healing, and personal growth.
