About me and my therapy practice

I believe in creating a warm, open and compassionate space where you can share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. Starting therapy can feel like a big step and it takes courage to reach out. Well done for taking that first step.

My approach is tailored to you and your individual needs. We will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you while drawing on different counselling theories and therapeutic approaches. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. What matters is finding what feels helpful and meaningful for you.

I’m here to walk alongside you and provide a safe space where you can explore what is bringing you to therapy and work towards the changes you want to make.

Practice description

I’m an individual member of the BACP and have over four years of experience supporting individuals through life’s many challenges. I offer a warm, inclusive and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and supported.

I work with a wide range of concerns including grief, loss and bereavement in its many forms. I also support clients experiencing stress, anxiety and depression. Alongside this, I support people through trauma, eating difficulties and relationship concerns.

I have a particular interest in LGBTQIA+ related concerns and offer an affirming space to explore sexuality, gender identity and expression and the impact these experiences may have on your relationships and wellbeing. I also support clients who are exploring changes within their relationships or trying to understand what feels right for them.

Relationships can have a significant impact on our wellbeing. I work with difficulties within both personal and professional relationships including communication, boundaries, conflict, trust, breakups and navigating periods of change.

My approach is tailored to you as an individual. We will work collaboratively and at your own pace while drawing on a range of counselling theories and therapeutic approaches. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so we can explore what feels most helpful for you.

You can expect a safe and supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgement. Together we can develop greater self-understanding, explore patterns and difficulties and work towards the changes that feel meaningful to you.

My first session

Free 15-Minute Introductory Call -

Before starting therapy, you have the option of a free 15-minute introductory phone call. This gives us an opportunity to briefly get to know each other, talk about what has brought you to counselling and answer any questions you may have. It can also help you decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you.

If you decide to continue, I will complete a confidential assessment with you. This helps me understand your circumstances and what you would like support with so that we can tailor therapy to your needs.

Your First Session

The first session can be a valuable opportunity to talk openly about what has been going on for you. Sometimes having the space to finally say everything out loud and share what you have been carrying can help ease some of the weight and create a sense of relief.

You don’t need to have everything organised or know exactly where to start. We can take our time and begin wherever feels right for you. As therapy progresses, we can gently begin to explore and unpick the experiences, thoughts and feelings beneath what you are going through while working towards greater understanding and meaningful change.
