About me and my therapy practice
Feeling stuck, burnt out, or overwhelmed?
You might look like you’ve got it all together on the outside, but inside feel tired, stressed, or not quite yourself anymore. Perhaps work is relentless, relationships feel strained, or the pressure never really switches off. You may know something needs to change, but not be sure where to start.
I’m David, a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor offering online counselling across the UK. I work with adults who are quietly carrying a lot, often people who are used to coping, supporting others, and keeping things moving even when it’s taking its toll.
Many of the people I work with are professionals or business owners under constant pressure, but I also work with anyone who finds it hard to open up or ask for help, or who feels anxious, low, or worn down by life.
You might be dealing with stress, burnout, anxiety, low mood, or a sense of feeling directionless. Maybe you’ve never had therapy before, or perhaps it didn’t feel right last time. Either way, you don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say.
Alongside my counselling work, I run three businesses, so I understand the responsibility and pressure of trying to hold everything together. That real-life experience shapes how I work. I aim to offer the kind of counselling I would have wanted during difficult times in my own life.
All sessions are online. No travel, no waiting rooms, just private, one-to-one support that fits into your life.
Practice description
I offer Person-Centred Counselling, a straightforward and effective form of talking therapy where the focus is always on you and what matters most in your life.
This approach provides a calm, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Rather than being told what to do, you’re supported to understand yourself more clearly and find your own way forward.
Research shows that person-centred counselling can increase self-awareness, improve emotional wellbeing, and support meaningful, lasting change.
I’ll walk alongside you, listening with care, honesty, and respect.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are held online via Google Meet, allowing you to join from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
I also offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a sense of how I work and decide whether it feels right for you.
My first session
Your first session is a chance to talk things through at your own pace. There’s no pressure and no need to prepare. It’s simply a safe space to share what’s been going on for you and what’s brought you to counselling.
We’ll explore what you might want from therapy and whether it feels like a good fit for us to work together. This first step helps build trust and set a direction that feels right for you.
I offer both short-term and longer-term online counselling, depending on your needs.
First session: £30
