I am a counsellor and psychotherapist working with all ages, including children (age 9+).
As Director of Supportive Counselling, I work as part of a team of counsellors and psychotherapists who collectively offer appointments across a wide range of days and times. This includes evenings, weekends, and other times outside of my personal working hours. This allows the practice to offer greater flexibility to suit different availability, preferences, and needs.
My own clinical working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5.30pm. However, please feel free to get in touch if you are looking for appointments outside of these times, as therapy is also available through the wider Supportive Counselling team.
Therapy in these locations is offered online and by telephone, enabling flexible access to support regardless of location. Online and telephone sessions are delivered in the same thoughtful, confidential, and professional way as in person therapy, and can be a supportive and effective option for many people.
If you are unsure whether online or telephone therapy is right for you, I can help you explore the options available.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer a compassionate, safe space to help you navigate life’s challenges, with a specialism in neurodivergence and trauma. In a FREE consultation, you can see if my approach fits. Together, we’ll work through your concerns and find a path forward.
Offering online, and phone counselling, I tailor my support to your needs, helping you navigate your world with more confidence and clarity. Let’s work together to help you embrace your strengths and uniqueness to create a life that truly works for you.
I offer counselling for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, family issues, and low self-confidence. My approach is tailored to help you navigate life's challenges, whether you're dealing with trauma, autism, bereavement, stress, or just feeling overwhelmed and sad.
In addition to traditional counselling, I offer Rewind Trauma Therapy, an effective approach for trauma that has a high success rate. This technique helps permanently stop involuntary recall by filing the traumatic event so it comes under control—often in just three sessions.
I work with clients facing OCD, trauma, social anxiety, suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, and work-related stress. My services also extend to those struggling with anger management, loneliness, or challenges like health anxiety, perfectionism, or phobias. I have experience supporting individuals with neurodiversity and those going through separation, divorce, affairs, betrayals, or abuse (emotional, physical, or sexual).
I also offer LGBTQ+ counselling, Lego Therapy, help with dissociation, sexual assault, and support for bipolar disorder, and postnatal depression. If you’re coping with chronic illness, career stress, childhood trauma, or disabilities, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space.
Whether you’re dealing with grief, miscarriages, infertility, menopause, or even eco-anxiety, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll work towards healing and positive change.

Practice description
A warm and compassionate welcome awaits you at Supportive Counselling which is free of judgement and bias allowing you an empowering space to talk freely.
I offer creative techniques such as play, art and Lego therapy as well as talking therapy and trauma therapy.
I'm a fully qualified/insured counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working with children, adolescents and adults. With an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check. I have over 20 years of Autism experience/qualifications.
I am also a member of IARTT (International Association for Rewind Trauma Therapy) as a registered Rewind Trauma Therapist. I was trained by Dr Muss offering treatment for trauma. The Rewind offers a way of permanently stopping the involuntary recall by filing the traumatic event so it comes under control in only 3 sessions.
I previously managed a charity counselling project, mentoring trainee counsellors and overseeing complex cases. My experience spans both the NHS and charity sectors, where I worked with a diverse range of clients across various therapeutic settings. This has given me a strong foundation in delivering ethical, compassionate, and effective mental health support.
I provide counselling for issues like anxiety, abuse, bereavement, depression, chronic stress, trauma, and self-esteem. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, ensuring effective support. Many clients notice improvements within the first month, leading to steady progress as we work together to enhance your well-being and personal growth. Let's navigate this journey together.
I provide flexible counselling options to suit your preferences, whether you prefer online sessions, phone calls, or a combination of both. Since life and circumstances can change, you have the freedom to adjust your therapy to what works best for you.
I also offer counselling anywhere within the UK through online and telephone sessions.

Counselling
Your first session is an introduction to one another and getting used to the safe space that we create. I have written a useful blog about what to expect in your first session https://supportivecounselling.co.uk/what-to-expect-in-your-first-counselling-session/
Rewind Trauma Therapy
The Rewind is different from other imaginal exposure therapies because no details are disclosed to the therapist Hence the treatment is known as "closure without disclosure".
The Rewind offers a way of permanently stopping the involuntary recall by filing the traumatic event so it comes under control. Voluntary recall remains.
For single event traumas, two to three sessions at most are required.
For multiple event trauma, such as: combat, sexual abuse; domestic violence; etc. each traumatic event can be dealt with separately over separate sessions but, depending on the way the involuntary recall represents, can also be dealt with in one session.
