About me and my therapy practice
Welcome and thank you for looking at my profile. I am a registered counsellor with the BACP, working from my private practice KERCounselling based in Amersham. I offer both short term and long term face to face and online counselling, tailored to your individual needs.
I have extensive experience and am a trauma informed practitioner working within the field of anger, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, low self-worth and suicide ideation.
I also work for a charity counselling survivors, children, young people and adults of sexual abuse, assault and domestic violence.
Life's challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether they stem from past experiences, present difficulties or a sense that something is holding you back from the life you want.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but it is a courageous step. I offer a compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely, at a pace that feels right for you.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is vital for lasting positive change, which is why I prioritise understanding your unique needs and fostering a compassionate connection

My first session
In the first session we will talk about how you are feeling about beginning counselling. Some clients feel excited while others feel overwhelmed and scared. This is your time to talk about your feelings and emotions in a safe and non-judgemental space.
We will work through an assessment and working agreement. I will answer any questions you may have, and together we will explore what brought you here, and what you want from therapy.
