I currently have availability for clients.
I offer individual counselling for adults on-line and by telephone. I also offer in person sessions from offices in the WV13 area of Walsall.
An initial free no-obligation 50 mins appointment by telephone or on-line is available.
I offer sessions afternoons and evenings on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays. Sessions are booked individually and you are welcome to attend at your own pace, with no obligation to continue.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Claire, a qualified and registered member of the BACP and the Person-Centred Association. I am a sole independent counsellor and InnerMe Counselling is my practice name. I offer person-centred therapy that places you at the heart of our work together, to help you make the changes you decide to make. I offer a warm, safe space to build a therapeutic relationship based on empathy, honesty and trust.
I qualified later in life after roles in the legal, educational and charity sectors, and running family businesses. These gave me insight into our diverse and unique experiences, and the importance of being heard and understood.

How can I help?
I focus on meeting you where you are in life.
You may be seeking a way through the emotional ups and downs that come with different stages of life: times of change, starting something new, facing loss or change, or realising that life doesn’t feel how you thought it would. Anxiety and low mood can surface during these periods, sometimes quietly and sometimes more intensely, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, unsteady, or unsure of yourself.
People come to counselling for a wide range of reasons or concerns. These might include anxiety, low mood, loss, stress, low self-esteem, feeling stuck, relationship difficulties, or a sense of not quite feeling like yourself. You don’t need to know exactly what’s 'wrong' to begin counselling, it’s enough to feel that something isn’t sitting comfortably for you.
I accompany you through life’s ups and downs, walking beside you as you face challenges, offering understanding while you discover your own way forward. I provide a warm, safe space where you can explore what’s happening for you, make sense of your feelings, and begin to make the changes you decide to make. While these times can feel uncertain, they can also offer opportunities for reflection, greater clarity, and personal growth.
I work in a person-centred way, providing space for you to openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My role is not to give advice or tell you what to do, but to support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your situation, so that you can make decisions that feel right for you.
I am also a trauma-informed counsellor and understand the impact trauma can have on emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing. I may offer practical tools such as grounding exercises, ways to manage emotions, or breathing techniques. I may also offer creative activities or share information to support your understanding and growth, always discussing this with you first so you can decide what feels right.
