About me and my therapy practice

About Me

You don't have to be in crisis to come to therapy. You just have to know that something needs to change.

I work with people who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted. They may find themselves overthinking, struggling to switch off, losing their temper more than they'd like, feeling stuck, disconnected or wondering why the same patterns keep showing up in their lives.

Some are living with the lasting impact of a difficult relationship with a parent. Others feel alone in their relationship, despite not being physically alone. From the outside they often look as though they're coping. Inside, it feels very different.

Most people don't come to therapy because they're broken. They come because something no longer feels right and they don't want to keep living the same way.

I'm a BACP registered counsellor with over 30 years' experience working with people through change, first in organisations and now in private practice.

I offer a warm, straightforward and confidential space where you can talk openly without judgement. I'll help you slow things down, untangle what's going on, and understand yourself more clearly, so you can make choices that feel right for you.

Practice description

Who I Work With

I work with adults who want to understand themselves better and make changes in their lives.

Some come during a difficult time or life transition. Others feel stuck in long-term patterns they want to break.

Many feel they are managing on the outside but struggling underneath with anxiety, low mood, or uncertainty.

What to Expect

We meet weekly, either in person in London Bridge or online.

The first session is a chance to see what brings you to therapy and whether we’re a good fit. If we continue, I usually suggest six sessions before reviewing how things are going.

Some people come with a clear issue, others want space to explore things more deeply.

Therapeutic Approach

I work in an integrative way, mainly drawing on existential, humanistic and transpersonal approaches.

In simple terms, we look at both what’s happening now and what may be going on underneath it. Therapy is not fixed or scripted — we shape it together based on what you need.

My aim is to help you understand yourself more clearly so you can make choices that feel more aligned with your life.

My first session

Take the First Step

Taking the first step towards therapy isn't always easy. Our first session is a chance for us to explore what's brought you here, what's been happening in your life, and what you're hoping might be different.

It's also an opportunity for us to get a sense of one another. A strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of good therapy, so it's important that you feel comfortable working with me.

If we decide to work together, I usually recommend meeting weekly. Lasting change takes time. It comes from slowing things down, understanding yourself more clearly, and having the space to explore thoughts, feelings and patterns that may have been with you for many years.

If I don't believe I'm the right therapist for you, I'll tell you honestly and, wherever possible, help you find someone who is.

The initial session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at my usual session fee.
