About me and my therapy practice
Therapy is a collaborative and reflective process and attention is given to your thoughts, feelings, desires, and ways of relating, with the aim of supporting deeper understanding. This is a space to speak openly and to consider experiences that may be difficult to hold alone, without pressure to reach quick conclusions or solutions.
As a Filipino-Mexican-American therapist, my own lived experience of navigating multiple cultures, identity, and otherness informs a thoughtful and respectful therapeutic relationship, particularly when exploring issues of belonging, difference, and self-understanding.
Therapy may also invite broader reflection on identity, purpose, and belonging. Questions such as who you are, who you are becoming, and how you locate yourself in your relationships and in the wider world can be explored. My work as a psychotherapist is grounded in existential thought, exploring questions of meaning, isolation, freedom, and authentic living.
Qualifications and Experience:
I have been practicing as a counsellor since 2023. I am also a member of the Black, African, Asian Therapy Network. I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I completed a Diploma in Diversity, Cultural Competence, Race, and Anti-discrimination Practice in 2024. I have gained valuable experience working at NHS Lambeth Talking Therapies and as a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths University. Currently, I am a full time lecturer in Counselling and Mental Health at Fairfield School of Business.
