About me and my therapy practice

I’m Nikki, a MBACP Accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist & Life Coach offering a calm, confidential space for women who feel overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, or at a crossroads. You may be carrying anxiety, low mood, the impact of difficult experiences, or navigating a relationship or life transition that has shaken your confidence and sense of direction.

My approach is warm, supportive and collaborative. We can gently explore what has shaped you, understand patterns that keep repeating, and make room for relief, clarity and steadier emotional wellbeing — with practical tools you can take into everyday life.

How I work / Approach

I work integratively, drawing on counselling and coaching in a way that is tailored to you. Some sessions are more counselling-led, focusing on emotional understanding, healing and making sense of what you’ve been carrying. At other times, we may bring in coaching elements to support confidence, boundaries and practical steps forward.

At the heart of my work is a simple framework: Heal → Grow → Flow

• Heal: make sense of the past with compassion, safety and care

• Grow: strengthen self-awareness, resilience, confidence and self-trust

• Flow: create sustainable change through boundaries, routines and supportive strategies

Change isn’t linear, so we work at your pace, shaping the focus together from session to session.

What I can help with (presenting issues)

I commonly support women with:

• Anxiety, stress, overwhelm and overthinking

• Burnout, emotional exhaustion and feeling depleted

• Low mood and depression

• Trauma and the impact of difficult past experiences

• Survivors of domestic violence and abuse

• Emotional wounds, self-criticism, shame and low self-worth

• Repeating patterns, people-pleasing, self-sabotage and feeling stuck

• Relationship challenges, separation and divorce recovery

• Parenting and family change

• Identity, confidence and life transitions (including career direction)

• Building emotional wellbeing, balance and fulfilment

Practice description

My practice particularly supports women (18+) who are carrying a lot — emotionally, mentally, or in the roles they hold for others. You may feel “high functioning” on the outside while inside you’re overwhelmed, anxious, low, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to shift.

Many of the women I work with are navigating life transitions such as relationship change, separation/divorce, parenting and family shifts, or identity and career changes. Others come because past experiences — including trauma or abuse — still affect how they feel, cope, or relate. Together we work towards greater emotional steadiness, stronger boundaries, and a more confident, grounded way forward.

My experience

I have over a decade of experience supporting clients through emotional overwhelm and life transitions, and I’ve spent hundreds of hours in the therapy room. My background includes specialist work with survivors of domestic violence and abuse, supporting recovery from trauma and the longer-term effects on self-esteem, trust and a sense of safety.

Before retraining, I worked for over 20 years in senior leadership and CEO roles. This brings a grounded, practical edge to my work — supporting clients to move from “I’m coping” to feeling more like themselves again.
