About me and my therapy practice

My name is Siúan and I am an Irish psychotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor operating a private practice in North East London. I work with both individuals and couples.

Reaching out to a therapist can be challenging and it can be difficult to know what to expect. I hope the information provided here will help you to understand a little bit about my practice and what I can offer you.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative space where we can work together to identify what will most support you to live life as your fullest and most authentic self. My training is in Gestalt Psychotherapy, so this will inform my approach.

I will work creatively with you to build a space of relational safety where an open and non-judgemental dialogue can take place between us. My aim is to understand your unique experience of the world and increase your own awareness of this too. I believe that you are the expert in your own experience, and my job is to help you get to know yourself more deeply so that you can feel empowered to manage the challenges and relationships in your life more effectively.

My approach is trauma-informed and holistic, which means I place equal value on mind and body in the therapy room. I feel it is important to consider lived experience and the environmental and social context of our lives, in addition to interpersonal relationships. I hope this enables me to practice therapy inclusively and create a welcoming and supportive setting for us to work together.
