About me and my therapy practice

I am a Person-Centred counsellor working with an integrative approach, adapting my work to suit each individual client and their needs. I have experience supporting adults who have experienced sexual abuse (current, historical, and childhood), as well as those affected by trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, alcoholism, grief, and bereavement.

I place strong importance on the therapeutic relationship and aim to offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel able to share their thoughts and experiences openly. I work at the client’s pace, respecting their autonomy and personal values.

I work integratively, adapting my approach to meet individual client needs. My practice is informed by the BACP Ethical Framework and supported by regular supervision and ongoing Continuing Professional Development.

Practice description

I am a BACP Registered counsellor and hold a SQA Higher National Diploma in Counselling. My training covers a range of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic, and Gestalt therapies.

I have completed additional training, including a Diploma in Grief and Bereavement Counselling and a Professional Development Award in Addiction Counselling (SCQF Level 8). 

I also hold a Diploma in Christian Counselling.

My first session

Your first session is a safe, confidential space to talk about what’s on your mind and what you hope to achieve. We’ll also agree a simple contract covering confidentiality, sessions, fees, and boundaries. You are under no obligation to continue.
