I offer flexibility in days and hours that I offer and work over different days during the week to suit your needs and availability.

Reaching out for support can feel like the hardest part of the process, which is why I offer a free introductory call. This gives us a chance to chat briefly about what you are looking for, answer any questions you may have, and see if I am the right person to support you. When you feel ready, send me a brief email or message, and we can arrange a time to talk. I am currently accepting new clients.

About me and my therapy practice

As a Humanistic- integrative counsellor, my practice is rooted in the belief that you are the ultimate expert on your own life. I do not offer a one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I blend different therapeutic ideas to suit your unique personality, needs and goals. At the core of my work is a commitment to offering a relationship built on warmth, empathy and non- judgement. Together, we can explore what you are experiencing at a pace that feels entirely safe and managed by you.

The transition into late adolescence and adulthood brings unique, often overwhelming pressures. I specialize in working with young people aged 16 and over, as well as adults, navigating issues such as identity, Neurodiversity, academic or workplace stress, anxiety, relationship changes, and feelings of isolation.

In line with ethical practice, I respect autonomy and developing independence of young people. I provide a confidential space where you can speak openly, figure out who you want to be, and build reliable tools to navigate life's challenges.

Your safety and wellbeing are my highest priorities. As a registered member of the BACP, my practice strictly adheres to the BACP ethical framework for counselling professionals. This means that you can expect:

Clear contracting- We will establish transparent agreements from the start regarding confidentiality, it's limits (in relation to safeguarding) and how we protect your data.

Autonomy- You retain complete control over what you choose to share and the direction of your therapy.

Professional competence- I engage in regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional training and development to ensure I am always working safely and effectively to support you.

Beginning therapy can  feel daunting, but you will find a welcoming, down to earth environment. I offer face to face sessions in central Scarborough, as well as secure online therapy.

Practice description

Choosing to start therapy takes courage, and it is vital that you feel comfortable with the professional you choose to work with. My practice is built on warmth, clarity, transparency,  honesty and deep respect for your individual journey.

When we work together, whether online or face- to-face in Scarborough, here is what you can expect from me as your counsellor:

Active, empathic listening: I will never listen to judge you, diagnose you, or fit you into a box. I listen to deeply understand your world from your perspective.

Collaborative pace: You are in the drivers seat. We will work together at a pace that feels safe for you. You will never be forced or rushed to talk about things before you are ready.

Authenticity and warmth: I bring a down- to-earth, human presence to our sessions. I don't  sit in silence nodding; I interact with you warmly, honestly, and transparently.

High ethical standards and safety: Strict confidentiality, clear boundaries and professional integrity.

My first session

During the initial session I will invite you to do a brief assessment in order for us to capture where you are as you are beginning therapy and this will be repeated at the end of your therapy journey with me. This is completely individual choice and if you would prefer not to undertake this that is okay also. I will ask some specific questions to get an understanding of where you are currently, and what you are hoping to get from your therapy journey so we can map this to stay on track as we navigate these early sessions.
