About me and my therapy practice

Are you seeking support to navigate life’s challenges, better understand your emotions, or move away from patterns that no longer serve you? You don’t have to face this alone.

I offer a warm, compassionate, and confidential space where we can explore your experiences together, at your pace. My way of working is grounded in flexibility, respect, and collaboration. I believe the right support, offered at the right time, can make a meaningful difference, and that counselling should fit into your life rather than require you to adapt to a rigid model of therapy.

I work in a solution-focused, integrative, and trauma-informed way, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, circumstances, and goals. This may involve focused, short-term work such as Single Session Therapy, or longer-term therapy where deeper exploration and sustained change are helpful. The approach we take is guided by what feels most supportive and appropriate for you.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw from a range of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), mindfulness-based practices, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This allows our work to remain flexible and responsive rather than one-size-fits-all, combining reflection and understanding with practical strategies for change.

Respecting difference and client autonomy is central to my practice. I work in an affirming, GSRD-compliant way and value each client’s lived experience, identity, and right to choice. I aim to offer a space where you feel safe to be yourself, make decisions about the direction of our work, and move at a pace that feels right.

I offer flexible scheduling and provide both short- and longer-term therapy. Alongside in-room and online sessions, walk-and-talk therapy is available by arrangement, and home visits can be offered where appropriate. My aim is to support meaningful, sustainable change that extends beyond the therapy room.

Practice description

My way of working is grounded in flexibility, respect, and collaboration. I believe the right support, offered at the right time, can make a meaningful difference, and that counselling should fit into your life rather than require you to adapt to a rigid model of therapy. I work alongside clients to offer support that is responsive to their needs, circumstances, and goals, whether that involves focused, short-term work such as Single Session Therapy, or longer-term therapy where deeper exploration and sustained change are helpful.

I am a qualified therapist with additional training in Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Coaching. I offer 50-minute therapy sessions in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space, where we explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours while also focusing on practical tools that support lasting change. My integrative approach allows therapy to be tailored to each individual, combining reflection, understanding, and solution-focused strategies.

Respecting difference and client autonomy is central to my practice. I work in an affirming, GSRD-compliant way and value each client’s lived experience, identity, and right to choice. I aim to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe to be yourself, make decisions about the direction of our work, and move at a pace that feels right.

Alongside therapy, I offer psychoeducation on key mental health topics, including emotional regulation, the mind–body connection, and the impact of thoughts and emotions on behaviour. This supports emotional resilience and helps clients feel more grounded, informed, and empowered in their daily lives. My aim is to support meaningful, sustainable change that extends beyond the therapy room.

During this session, I’ll ask questions to gain a full understanding of what’s bringing you to therapy. This helps me tailor our work together to your specific needs. We'll discuss your current challenges, any past experiences that may be relevant, and what you hope to achieve through our work.

It’s also a chance for you to get a feel for how we work together and ask any questions you may have about the therapy process. There’s no pressure—you can take your time, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to build a solid foundation of trust so you feel empowered to start your therapeutic journey with confidence.
