About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor, trained to draw on various counselling models to offer you the therapy that is most appropriate for you. I am always led by the individual needs of my clients.
I offer a safe, welcoming, and confidential space where we can explore whatever might be troubling you together, at your pace, without any pressure or judgement.
I support clients dealing with a range of issues including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship issues, stress and burnout, low self-confidence and low self-esteem, and caring for loved ones experiencing physical illness.
Practice description
Research informs that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is one of the best predictors of good outcomes, therefore developing a good, trusting, and respectful relationship with you is key to my approach.
With an appropriate balance of support and compassionate challenge which promotes awareness and insight, I will help you develop coping strategies or make new decisions regarding what matters to you.
I fully appreciate that seeking counselling may feel daunting, especially if it is for the first time, and I am genuinely committed to helping you feel at ease and listened to from the very beginning.
Therapy sessions can take place in-person or online. I offer face-to-face appointments in private and comfortable therapy rooms at either The Prestwich Holistic Centre or The Whitefield and Radcliffe Holistic Centre. Session length is 50 minutes.
I hold an enhanced DBS check and insurance and I attend regular monthly clinical supervision to maintain a high standard of good practice.
If you are interested in working together, please get in touch to arrange a free, no-obligation telephone call.
My first session
I like to keep our first session informal and create a relaxed space for us to get to know each other.
I will go through the practicalities of therapy including confidentiality and I will be happy to answer any questions about how I work, or counselling in general.
I will ask what you would like counselling to help you with and what outcomes you hope to achieve.
We can then both decide if a second session would be helpful and desirable.
It is important to feel comfortable with your counsellor, therefore if it feels right for you, we can book another appointment, but you are also welcome to take your time to consider your options.
