About me and my therapy practice
My practice is situated in a peaceful, private setting in a beautiful Cotswold valley, surrounded by nature. I find that the environment itself can offer something therapeutic: a sense of space, stillness and an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life.
At the heart of my work is a belief that everyone deserves to feel genuinely seen, heard and valued. Whatever brings you to counselling, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental relationship where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.
My approach is rooted in person-centred counselling, which means I believe that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, I work alongside you, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships and the experiences that have shaped you.
I enjoy working creatively and recognise that sometimes words alone are not enough. Where appropriate, we can explore different ways of working that support reflection, self-awareness and personal growth.
Fundamentally, I believe in our capacity for change and growth when we experience the right conditions. My hope is to offer you a space where you can feel safe enough to be yourself, without fear of judgement, and begin to discover what feels right for you.

Practice description
I offer counselling in person, online via video, or by telephone, providing flexibility to suit your individual needs and circumstances. I offer both short-term and long term therapy.
I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor and have recently completed my MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice at Bath Spa University, further deepening my knowledge, understanding and therapeutic practice.
Alongside traditional talking therapy, I also offer equine-facilitated psychotherapy (Counselling with Horses). This offers a different way of exploring thoughts, feelings and experiences, with my small herd of horses and ponies invited to become part of the therapeutic process.
Working alongside horses can create opportunities for reflection, self-awareness and connection, particularly when finding the right words feels difficult. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs, and no previous experience with horses is necessary.
Although sessions may involve close interaction with the horses, all work takes place on the ground, and therapeutic riding is not offered.
If you would like to find out more about counselling or explore whether working together might be right for you, please feel welcome to contact me using the email address provided.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore whether working together feels right for you.
We will take time to talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you might be hoping to gain from our sessions, and any questions or concerns you may have. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with, and we can move at a pace that feels right for you.
If we decide to continue working together, we will go through a counselling agreement that sets out how we will work together, including confidentiality, boundaries and the practical arrangements for our sessions.
Above all, I hope our first meeting will give you a sense of what it feels like to work with me and whether I can offer the support you are looking for.
