About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Jenny.
I am a BACP-registered integrative therapist.
Integrative therapy basically means I don't follow one theoretical model, instead I draw from a range of different ideas and techniques depending on your needs as a client.
That said, I have some core ideas that are at the heart of my work. Most important of all to me is the relationship that we would build together as therapist and client - one which is focussed on trust, safety and rapport.
I also love to work creatively, using imagery, music, art and play to explore those thoughts and feelings that can't quite be put into words.
I am also interested in thinking together with my clients about their past experiences (be those good, bad, or average) and how these might be showing up in the present day.
If you'd like to hear more, please do get in touch.
Practice description
I have a postgraduate diploma in integrative counselling (Terapia/Middlesex University) and am trained to work with children, teenagers and adults.
My first session
I offer a free, 30 minute no obligation introductory call.
This is a chance to think about what brings you to therapy, set some goals and explore how we could work together. It is also for you to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you.
There is no set number of sessions - some people find that short-term work is enough, others may need longer. My approach is to review how things are going for you every six sessions or so.
What I can help with
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Baby loss, Bereavement, Child related issues, Coercive control, Cultural issues, Depression, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Mood disorder, Narcissism, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Pet bereavement, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stalking, Stress, Trauma, Vegan allied, Women's issues, Work related issues
