About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck? Perhaps you’re struggling with loss, low self-worth, or pressures that feel too much to manage alone. You’re not alone—and you’re not beyond support.

I’m Colin, a person-centred therapist who believes in meeting people where they are, with honesty, warmth and respect.

After a long professional career and raising a family, I trained as a therapist later in life. My experiences—including working with vulnerable people while delivering food parcels and pharmaceuticals during the COVID-19 pandemic—deepened my understanding of how essential emotional support is, especially when it feels out of reach.

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Through person-centred therapy, many clients begin to understand themselves better, build resilience, and feel more in control of their emotions and decisions.

Affordable Therapy

I believe that everyone deserves access to emotional support, regardless of financial means. That’s why I offer a “pay what you can afford” model—based on trust, not proof.

If we decide to work together, you choose a fee that feels manageable for you. Your wellbeing is more important than a fixed rate.If we are to achieve your desired outcomes together, we will need to develop trust. I will take the first step towards building this by trusting you to choose to pay what you can afford for my services.

What to Expect

We’ll start with a free 15–30 minute phone call to explore what’s brought you here and whether I’m the right fit for your needs. If we decide to continue, sessions are weekly for 50 minutes—online or in person.

In our first session, we’ll agree on confidentiality, session goals, and how to regularly review your progress together.

During the first meeting we will work together to create a formal agreement covering our joint expectations including the confidentiality of the information you share with me, how I will keep your personal data private, and our commitment to timekeeping. 

At the end of this session, we will finalise the terms of our financial agreement, the initial number of sessions we are committing to together and how we will regularly review your progress.
