About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Michelle, and I am an integrative counsellor who offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My approach is flexible and tailored to you, drawing on different therapeutic models to best support your individual needs.

I work with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. I have experience supporting individuals who are neurodiverse, including those with ADHD and ASD. I have worked with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression and low mood; grief and loss; trauma; anger; domestic violence; and relationship and family difficulties.

I understand that reaching out for support can be challenging, and I aim to offer a warm, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I offer sessions online (via Zoom, Teams and WhatsApp), over the telephone, and face-to-face.

Practice description

In our sessions, I focus on creating a safe and consistent space where you can speak openly and feel supported without judgement. As an integrative counsellor, I adapt my approach depending on your needs, drawing on different therapeutic models to support you in a way that feels right for you.

We may explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, looking at patterns in your life, relationships and behaviours. I work at your pace, whether you are looking to process difficult experiences, develop coping strategies, or gain a deeper understanding of yourself.

I have experience working with a wide range of clients, including adults, children, adolescents, couples and families. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, anger, domestic violence, and relationship or family challenges. I also work with neurodiverse clients, including those with ADHD and ASD, and aim to adapt sessions to suit individual communication and processing styles.

Sessions are available online, by telephone, or face-to-face, offering flexibility and accessibility. My role is to support you in making sense of your experiences, building self-awareness, and finding ways forward that feel meaningful to you.

My first session

In our first session, we will begin by talking about what brought you to counselling and what you would like to gain from it. This is an opportunity for you to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

I understand that starting counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to create a calm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where you feel at ease. We will also discuss my work and confidentiality and answer any questions you may have.

Together, we can begin to explore your thoughts and feelings and consider what you might want from ongoing sessions. There is no pressure or expectation — the first session is also a chance for you to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.
