About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, compassionate and down-to-earth therapist who believes therapy can offer a space where you don't have to present a polished version of yourself. You can bring what feels difficult, stuck or hard to put into words, and explore it with curiosity and without judgement.
I work integratively, drawing particularly on person-centred, psychodynamic and relational approaches. This means I see you as the expert in your own experience and work non-directively, while paying attention to patterns, relationships and what may be less obvious. I don't see you as a diagnosis or a collection of problems. We all experience difficulties, and sometimes they become harder to manage alone.
I have experience working with anxiety, low mood, grief, perfectionism, relationships, identity, belonging and childhood trauma. I offer an LGBTQ+ affirming space. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, have two years' post-qualification experience, am a BACP member and am working towards accreditation.
