About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Amy. I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with children, teens, and adults in Sunninghill, Berkshire.
A Neuro-Affirming Space: As a neurodivergent counsellor, I personally understand that not everyone’s brain works the same way. I know how exhausting it can be to "mask" or try to fit into a world that isn't always built for you. In our sessions, you don’t have to do that.
Whether you are neurodivergent yourself or the parent of a child who is, I offer a space where being different is respected and never judged.
Because every person is different, I draw on a wide range of techniques to fit your specific needs. I pride myself on creating a relaxed environment where younger clients feel at ease, including specialist play-based sessions for children who might struggle to put their thoughts, feelings, and emotions into words and walk and talk sessions for adults who need movement.
My approach is completely flexible. If you or your child need to:
- Fidget or use stim toys
- Move around the room
- Communicate without eye contact
...then that is exactly what this space is for. Whatever you or your child are facing, we will find a way forward together.
Practice description
I have extensive experience in counselling children and staff within state and private schools, secondary education, alternative provisions and colleges as well as one-to-one therapy in private practice.
I am experienced in helping with a variety of presenting issues, including childhood generational trauma, narcissism, PND, OCD, abuse, neglect, identity & self, anxiety & depression and many other areas (listed below)
I move away from rigid, traditional therapy when needed in favour of a flexible approach that fits your specific needs. I’m here to support you in a way that actually fits your way of thinking and feeling.
I get the challenges of navigating school, work, and life, and I’m here to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you—or your child—can just be yourselves."
*I also offer online sessions through Zoom and telephone appointments.

Your First Session: What to Expect
The Consultation Process:
After an initial free 15-minute telephone call, our first session is designed to be as straightforward and stress-free as possible. We will review the counselling agreement and spend time discussing your expectations and goals for therapy.
This is an open, non-judgmental space for you to ask questions and share what you hope to overcome or achieve at your own pace.
- Walk and Talk" and Online Clients:
Walk and Talk or Online therapy, we will also use this time to discuss the specific practicalities and privacy of those settings.
