About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified, registered counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals navigating life’s challenges, helping you reconnect with your inner strengths and capacity for personal growth. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from who you truly are, I provide a compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely.
I take a person-centred approach, placing your unique experience, values, and autonomy at the heart of our work. I firmly believe that you are the ultimate expert on your own life. My role is not to diagnose you, analyse you from a distance, or tell you what choices to make. Instead, I offer three core commitments to guide our therapeutic relationship:
Genuine Acceptance (Unconditional Positive Regard): A completely safe, non-judgmental environment where you can bring your whole self—including the parts you might feel ashamed or afraid of—without fear of criticism.
Deep Empathy: I work actively to see the world through your eyes, honouring your unique pace, timing, and perspective.
Authenticity (Congruence): I show up as a real, transparent human being in our sessions, building a foundation of mutual trust and respect.
In practice, our sessions will feel collaborative, gentle, and entirely client-led. We will explore whatever you choose to bring to the table each week. Together, we will work to untangle complex emotions, build your self-esteem, and empower you to live a more authentic, self-determined life.
Practice description
Starting therapy can feel daunting, so I aim to make our practical journey as transparent and comfortable as possible. I provide a confidential, calm, and grounded environment designed to help you relax your shoulders and feel safe.
Your Free 30-Minute Consultation: Because the relationship between therapist and client is so important, I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation. This can take place either via Zoom or face-to-face. This is a relaxed, low-pressure space for us to introduce ourselves. We will talk gently about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our time together. There is absolutely no pressure to dive into deep trauma right away, and no obligation to commit to further sessions. It is simply an opportunity for you to see if I feel like the right fit for you.
Ongoing Sessions and Fees: If you decide you would like to work with me, our subsequent sessions will be 60 minutes long. The frequency of the sessions will be discussed in the 30 min consultation and can change at your discretion. My rates reflect the platform we choose to use:
Email Sessions: £25 x1 email (see website for options)
Zoom Sessions: £40 per 60-minute session
Face-to-Face Sessions: £50 per 60-minute session
My Practice Focus: While Person-Centred therapy is highly effective for a vast range of human experiences, I frequently work with clients looking for support with:
Anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed
Low self-esteem, self-criticism, and self-doubt
Life transitions, identity shifts, and relationship challenges
Grief, loss, and processing difficult emotions
You remain entirely in control of your therapeutic journey. We can work together on a short-term, focused basis or through open-ended, long-term therapy depending completely on your individual needs.
My first session
What to Expect from Your First SessionThe thought of starting therapy can feel daunting, so I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation to help make that first step as comfortable and low-pressure as possible. This introductory session can take place either online via Zoom or face-to-face at my practice. This initial meeting is a relaxed space for us to introduce ourselves and get a sense of how we might work together.
There is absolutely no pressure to dive into deep trauma or difficult history right away. Instead, we will talk gently about:
What is currently bringing you to therapy
What you hope to gain or achieve from our time together
Any questions or anxieties you might have about the counselling process
This is entirely an opportunity for you to experience my approach and decide if I feel like the right fit for you as a therapist, with no obligation to commit to further sessions.
If you feel comfortable and decide you would like to move forward with me, our subsequent sessions will be 60 minutes long and are priced at £40 via Zoom or £50 face-to-face.
You remain in complete control of your therapeutic journey, and we will always go at a pace that feels safe for you.
